Re: Install Qt5 On Raspberry Pi2

Any update on this? I tried it again, and still no luck... I took a clean stretch lite image, installed twolife's binaries and was able to build. When I however try to run the app, I get segmentation fault. I am able to run the same project on jessie with twolife's jessie binaries with no problem...

Re: Raspi3 autoconnect to WiFi with static IP

Any more ideas? Out of desperation I tried to build my whole stack again using the latest stretch lite image, but again, with no luck... The network there of course works, but not the rest (like QT with EGLFS support). I'll try to provide more info. The setup I am trying to convert it from uses dnsm...

Re: Raspi3 autoconnect to WiFi with static IP

Yes, I added the lines you posted at the end of the file. However, back to the note on one of the tutorials already mentioned above: Network Interfaces method NOTE This method is NOT recommended (and only works if you disable the DHCP client daemon), particularly if you plan to use both interfaces. ...

Re: Raspi3 autoconnect to WiFi with static IP

Well, no, unfortunately it doesn't work. When I boot up with the files as you described them, I get no interfaces at all (after the startup) apart from lo. If I call ifup wlan0 or ifup eth0 , I get: Ignoring unknown interface eth0=eth0 or Ignoring unknown interface wlan0=wlan0 respectively. If I add...

Re: Raspi3 autoconnect to WiFi with static IP

From the tutorial I've been following:
Jessie does not include the 10-wpa_supplicant hook to manage WiFi interfaces, so links to wpa_supplicant are needed.
That's the reason I am asking...

Anyway I will try it and let you know. In the meantime, thanks a lot!

Re: Raspi3 autoconnect to WiFi with static IP

OK, thanks for the explanation. I guess I should be using "the new way" then. However it doesn't seem to work for me. I still get: $ ifup wlan0 Missing required variable: address Missing required configuration variables for interface wlan0/inet. Failed to bring up wlan0. Are there some other things ...

Re: Raspi3 autoconnect to WiFi with static IP

OK, here's the broader picture... Are you sure the router and your network is set up for this? Well, the prefix is actually 10 and not 11, so it is actually a private IP. That 11 I posted comes from messing around in order to find out where the problem was. But normally, it starts with 10. Sorry, I ...

Raspi3 autoconnect to WiFi with static IP

Hi, I am running Raspian jessie. What I want to achieve is that the raspi automatically connects to a certain wifi network on startup (or whenever possible) and that it uses static IP. I tried these steps: https://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/questions/37920/how-do-i-set-up-networking-wifi-static-i...

I have the same problem. I am getting Access denied while connecting with Putty. The password is 100% correct. I do have PermitRootLogin se to yes but it still doesn't work.

I can ssh from the pi to itself with the very same password...

Issues after upgrading to stretch

Hello, I use Raspbian without X and have a lot of things set up, that I invested awful amount of time into. It was jessie for quite some time, but now I had to upgrade to Stretch to be able to support Pi 3 B+. Well, here are things that stopped working after doing so: 1. Cannot ssh to the pi anymore...

Re: Install Qt5 On Raspberry Pi2

Hello, resurrecting the thread again... I need to ask this very basic question that I was not able to conclusively answer by reading dozens of posts on both Raspberry and QT forums... So is it currently possible to run QT eglfs on Raspbian stretch from the default source? I mean, qt5 is surely there...

Raspberry Pi 3 - wifi with some old image

Hello, I have the following problem. The integrated wifi doesn't seem to work on my Raspberry Pi 3. If I do ifconfig -a, I get the following output: eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr b8:27:eb:7c:92:ad inet addr:10.34.36.61 Bcast:10.34.36.255 Mask:255.255.255.0 inet6 addr: fe80::ba27:ebff:fe7c:92ad/64 ...

Re: Qt5 raspbian - errors, errors and more errors :(

I have created a qt.conf file in the /etc/ld.so.conf.d as you advised and put the /opt/vc/lib path there. But it didn't help. But when I put: export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/vc/lib right before calling the application in .bashrc, it works. As the sole purpose of the whole OS is just to run this one appl...

Yes, of course you are right. I found that myself just a while after I posted the question. It is obvious. The content of the .profile, where the env variables are set is loaded after the .bashrc script is executed. I will try you solution and let you know. Thanks.

Re: Qt5 raspbian - errors, errors and more errors :(

Finally I have solved the problem. Well, almost... I will note the process for future generations... To be able to install QT from twolife on my wheezy 1GB card, I had to do the following: Here's the script: echo "mounting root and boot partitions as rw..." echo "mounting usb drive..." mount /dev/sd...

Re: Pi drops ethernet connection

This is an old thread but... I have the problem as well. I went through this thread and I am not sure what to do, there is no conclusive cause to the issue. My Raspberry Pi 3 drops the connection very soon after it boots. It's a question of minutes. The only thing I can do in this case is to reboot ...

QT keyboard input doesn't work

Hi all, after many hours of work and with a help from topguy ( https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=15861&start=50 ), I was finally able to build my application with twolife's binaries ( https://twolife.be/raspbian/ ) which are of version 5.5.1. But the thing is that the keyboard ...

Re: Qt5 raspbian - errors, errors and more errors :(

OK, I did everything from scratch on a bigger SD card (this only delays the problem in the end it will have to fit to 1GB). For the program to finally execute I also had to add the following packages to your script: qt5-default qtdeclarative5-dev qml-module-qtquick-layouts qml-module-qtquick-windows...

Well seems I am not meant to get it working, there is always something... After installing qt5-default, I made some progress... Now I am able to call qmake, but at this point, lrelease is missing. And to get lrelease it seems I need to install qttools5-dev-tools which is 70MB package. There is no wa...

Re: Qt5 raspbian - errors, errors and more errors :(

But is there any reason why for example apt-get install qml-module-qtquick2 should not work? As I said it says it is unable to locate the package. I have checked and the twolife.list is in sources.list.d. Does my version need to be jessie to use twolife's repository? I'd expect that this is not the ...

Re: Qt5 raspbian - errors, errors and more errors :(

I have just spent 2 whole days (I mean full days, nearly 48 hours - you should see how I look) trying to compile QT again. Or get it from jessie repository or from famous twolife's site :...
