So what is the definitive answer?

Can a Pi 2 be powered safely from the HDMI port, the answer appears to be yes?

Re: Bitscope Blade Quattro 4 Pi Motherboard / Blade

As for a case, I’ve ordered a Lollipop Stand from eBay Is the lollipop stand really pink? As far as I can tell the "blade" is only a power supply. It appears not to have an integrated cooling solution (to prevent the Pi 3Bs from throttling to half speed) nor an integrated network switch (so you don...

Re: compiling dosbox with dynamic recompilation support

Apologies for necroposting, however I had no trouble installing DOSbox SVN, as per this thread, however for me DOSbox SVN runs slower than the standard version of DOSbox. This includes from the console and via SSH with X forwarding. I cannot imagine why this is the case, however the performance diff...

Re: Speeding up Dosbox

After a long search and a lot of tutorials i found the solution in setting the ' cycles ' to 'max' in the default dosbox config file, which is my case is to be found in directory /home/pi/.dosbox/ . As long as i start dosbox as user pi the config in this directory will be loaded and then runs witho...

Re: How Do I Run Doom Faster in Dosbox On My Pi 3?

I got Doom working in Dosbox on my Pi 3 recently. But, it runs slow and I tried to increase the cpu cycles in Dosbox but it did nothing. I just want to play Doom at a appropriate speed on my Pi 3, but in the meantime I can play Wolf3d, Prince of Persia, and Rogue :D. What settings did you use in do...

DOSbox DOOM won't start?

I can run any DOS utility app etc that I need to, however Doom (& Doom Ultimate) freeze at "ST_Init: Init status bar.". I am running this on the console after booting into CLI and then using startx.

I have disabled all sound, music and joystick devices in dosbox.conf.

Re: rpix86 (Raspberry Pi x86 emulator) version 0.19 released

I know that rpix86 is not designed to work over SSH. However, it does work, only not in any way that is useful. Hopefully this will change in the future. Here's a screen shot from my Macbook:

Re: Using Waveshare 3.2" TFT with DOSBox - Freezes!

DOSbox works well via X11 over SSH.

Your settings are similar to mine, except for screen size, try 800x600. I also have all sound and midi devices disabled.

Doom in DOSbox freezing via SSH or xrdp

I have installed DOSbox, which I am using for various DOS apps, however I cannot seem to get Doom to run over SSH (with X forwarding working for other apps). Doom loads, however it does not present the title screen, instead stopping at init status bar. DOSbox cycles are = max. I know that it will be...
