Sorry. after reading that thread, I still have no idea how to pull kernel source for build 3.18.7-v7+, don't know how to associate commit with the build number.

How to download kernel source for a particular build?

I need to compile a module for raspberry Pi 2. downloaded the latest kernel from: https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux compiled ok, but can't load the module with modprobe due to vermagic dismatch. (modprobe -f didn't work either). my kernel is 3.18.7-v7+ and the latest source is already 3.18.11... ...

my raspberry pi 2 is connected to a hdmi tv but i need audio to come out of the audio jack. i used the following command: amixer cset numid=3 1 but it dosesn't work. if i use the same command 'amixer cset numid=3' the value is back to '0'. also tried raspi-config, but it kept going back to '0'. how ...
