The lens needs to be turned clockwise a turn or so, it's focused too close, check by live video and adjust lens so that you know when your done. I can get away with a tooth pick and turning the lens.

Binaural requires ears, the wearer could insert microphones into their ears, but I've heard quite a few results from them and they were quite noisy (self noise), or you could source small low noise mics and insert them into silicone ears, might look a little strange, but it would be binaural. This link will help those who can't get the Raspberry Pi 3 with a cirrus logic audio card, I'm a little familiar with the Pi, not so the Pi3, but I had it working in a short time:

I'm now able to stream from the cirrus logic's line-in input.

I use the cirrus logic card on a B model, not tried the latest RP3 (or the RP2) though (end of April will have a MK3 to test). I tested various streaming rates. The B will do 24bit 96kHz, but it is almost maxed out with very little headroom looking at the CPU, wont do anything else though, not sure ...
