Re: SD card sizing issue...I searched!

Hey from my understanding your premade sd card, might be using noobs, I am not sure if there is a way to do this on something other than linux as linux uses ext4 partitions, but there is a way to do it on your raspberry pi. First hit F4 to escape to console, type "sudo resize2fs /dev/mmcblk0p2" and ...

You may already know some of what follows, but I'm trying to keep this reply reasonably broad and comprehensive in the hope that it may inspire not only you but others with different background and experience. I'm assuming you are not a professional software engineer, but I'm going to suggest thing...

recommendations for Kodi power supply

I am looking for a new power supply for my Kodi build because I have narrowed down that my 800ish mAh is simply not enough to run the OS. My issue is that knockoffs exist and I do not know a legit company from China from a fake distributor, I know I want a 1.8A charger at least because that is the r...

Just manage your expectations, that's all. Another thing; it's probably really noisy, so you'll not want it near where you work, live or sleep.

Re: bitcoin mining on a pi?(advice on the device i am gettin

Technically it will work. Have a look at bfgminer, cfgminer, or minepeon for example. They can all run on the Pi. It's fun to build and watch it work, but do NOT expect to earn your money back. Not even when you're lucky in your pool. ok...is it a matter of price of the device? because i looked int...

Re: advances to upgrading? and other questions

Need to see the complete picture of that cable. If it doesn't have a bulge between the two ends I'd bet a modest amount of money that it won't work. It looks like a cable that requires the equipment at the HDMI end to output analogue signals instead of HDMI. RPis cannot do that. But why do you want...

Do you have the latest version? If you have version made for the B model then that will not work with the exact symptoms you describe. You might try copying over the boot files, kernel, bootcode.bin etc from the working card. i copied config.txt, bootcode.bin, bcm2708-rpi-b-plus.dtb, and fixup file...
