Element14 au very poor support.

sorry to complain on such a positive site, however... History, since pre-ordering my first rpi1, i have been and continue to be a happy tinker-er and owner of many rpi units. and have happily setup a few rpi units running different application for my mates. till now, i have always purchased my units...

Re: improving GPIO writespeed

Re: improving lan writespeed to ramdisk on pi?

ok great, thx for the clarification:-) in future, i might look into this project. https://github.com/Tobbe/pi-fast-gpio again, i know nothing about .js, but the sample code looks doable for me, and way simpler coding then what ive already produced. the sample, looks like can be run from remote, and ...

Re: improving lan writespeed to ramdisk on pi?

great thanks, i will look into it tomorrow. i have butchered up a working 350 line python script which runs on the rpi. it works fine for what i need, and if i remove the monitor process for file changed status, it triggers the GPIO's fast. looking through your sample which you kindly put together f...

Re: improving lan writespeed to ramdisk on pi?

im so sorry. Goal = to trigger 15 or so GPIO outputs each to either true/false values according to the status of what is seen on screen on my windows machine. method = since i know little about python, and coding my own daemon is out of the question, i "thought" that saving the states for the gpios ...

improving GPIO writespeed

im trying to trigger gpio atleast 2 x a second for led output, but it seems that no matter which method i use to write and or check changed status of the file on my rpi b model, i cannot improve on approx 1 x changed per second. atm, im using samba share to the ramdisk to save the file from any wind...

Re: efficient file changed processing?

thank you to all who have replied with helpful info. it seems that although my win8 pc reports as saving a file 4-6 x a second, i think its caching or something on the rpi, cause with using gamin, i still have notification of file changes approx 1 x a second.? the file in question is a *.txt file wi...

Re: efficient file changed processing?

ok, progress and then stop. so, ive modified the sample *.py which can monitor a file as requested, however, since the method use a "callback", i am unable to return variables back to my main code. this is my testing code to demonstrate method used that works. def callback(path, event, which): globa...
