top gear top tipp: sftp (openssh)

Re: Analog Audio XBMC low volume AC3

I guess it's a bug... I posted sth in the xbmc forum. If you got this bug too or helpful info please leave a short msg there. I hope there are the right people and they get interested in fixing this quite annoying bug... http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=136309 If this isn't working I am goin...

Re: Analog Audio XBMC low volume AC3

Thanks for the replies so far! I thought there is used some way without alsa because it was disabled on purpose on the build instructions http://www.raspbian.org/RaspbianXBMC . I indeed tested the existing "boost volume on downmix" option (now again) and it has no effect though. However I experience...

Analog Audio XBMC low volume AC3

Hi everybody, I was able to compile xbmc as described on the raspbian page (pisces) and it's working fine so far! Your work is very much appreciated and I will definitely stay with raspbian for various reasons! I have one problem so far (which isn't solved on raspbmc and openelec too) and thats the ...

Re: Error when running X server

I don't know how experienced you are with linux but the last line basically says, that the x server crashed. Obviously this should not happen and if you have not changed anything important so far my first guess would be that there is something wrong with your image on the sd-card.

Re: CRT jack quality

Thanks for the answers so far but probably I should have been more precise. I already know all I need to connect the raspi (when it arrives some day) to my crt TV. I even bought the needed adapters long time ago (my tv only allows scart). Question is however is the raspi providing a high quality pic...

CRT jack quality

Is the video quality of the raspi as good as a "oldschool" dvdplayer? There are only little pictures in the webz and they do not really tell the whole story... Somebody using xbmc and an old crt tv? How is the quality?

Best regards

Re: SCART video on the RasPi

<t>Ah thanks a lot to you two! Yes, I guess "jack" should be "klinke". So now – thanks to your help – I think I know the proper way to scart. I shortly sum it up for eng/ger/… people google sends here:<br/> <br/> For scart RasPi got:<br/> <br/> 1x RCA("Cinch") (Video)<br/> <br/> 1x 3,5mm Stereo Jack...

Re: SCART video on the RasPi

<t>Yeah history rules but back to topic. Does the cable config on the picture really work with the raspberry (i am desperately trying to get my hands on)? I see the input is 2x3,5 mm klinke (=ger dunno whats that in eng sry) which is fine for the audio AFAIK. I thought for connecting to the raspberr...
