Wollte nur kurz da lassen: Wer sowieso openssh laufen hat (und das sind ja wohl die meisten) kann sich die Suche nach einem sicheren FTP Server (der dann wieder extra memcpu zieht) sparen, wenn man keinen Wert auf anonyme Zugänge legt: sftp! Bei openssh dabei und bei raspbian AFAIK sogar schon stand...

Also ich teile die Bedenken mit der Performance. Aber davon ab: Was gibt qemu denn so für Rückmeldung (log / output)?

I don't know how experienced you are with linux but the last line basically says, that the x server crashed. Obviously this should not happen and if you have not changed anything important so far my first guess would be that there is something wrong with your image on the sd-card.

Is the video quality of the raspi as good as a "oldschool" dvdplayer? There are only little pictures in the webz and they do not really tell the whole story... Somebody using xbmc and an old crt tv? How is the quality?
