Remounted /boot as read-write and retried apt-get upgrade. Now it's been stuck for over 10 minutes at the following: Leaving 'diversion of /boot/overlays/w1-gpio-pullup-overlay.dtb to /usr/share/rpikernelhack/overlays/w1-gpio-pullup-overlay.dtb by rpikernelhack' Unpacking replacement raspberrypi-boo...

Right :)

Never had to do that on my Ubuntu desktop installation. There I can just run the .exe files as they were normal Linux binaries.

I followed the guide written in the first post of this thread. I downloaded, extracted and installed mono apparently sucessful. Did not see any errors. I can compile my simple C# test app without any errors: gmcs testapp.cs It produces a testapp.exe file that has executable bit set. But trying to ex...

So any updates on mono yet? In December 2013 there were posts about someone having mono 3 running on hardfp raspbian. And that some guy on honeymoon would package it when he was back. Well that's more than halv a year ago. Still can't see a package anywhere.

Do you have a link? I'm sick of having to use powered USB hubs on my PIs just to power a single wifi dongle and a keyboard.

Purchase any "learn to develop for Android" book on Amazon. Don't expect to use your Raspi for anything though.

We have had some reports of SD card corruption at high overcloks - we are looking in to it. In the meantime, check out the threads mentioned SD card corruption. For me its more a like a rule. I can overclock as long as I dont overvolt. As soon as I try to overvolt its only a matter of how soon the ...

Whats the problem? You found out how to enable it. Fact is most people have no need for ip6, very few home routers support this. So I see no reason to enable anything by default that most people have no need for.

What exactly do you want us to test? I did a quick test and I was sent to a working mirror. But it was not the closest one, but I'm not sure how you decide where to send request and if all the mirrors from the Wiki is included or not.

Nice one. Finally xbmc is running one my raspi. Tried to compile it myself first, but that never worked. I've got a MCE remote that's supposedly xbmc-compatible. But I cannot get that to work with xbmc on the raspi. Anyone know if it's possible and have any pointers? I tried installing lirc, but I'm...

I've had corrupted file systems on Raspbian about three times myself. One time it was not correctable, even if I insered the SD-card in a linux laptop and tried from there. I have swap enabled which is not recommended on sd-cards, perhaps they simple are worn out? I'm not sure the write-cycle on sd-...

Leave it be. Debian, Ubuntu and some other distros add 127.0.1.1 as a permanent ip-address for localhost to resolve a bug in some software (amongst them Gnome). See http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/debia ... resolution

Re: Instructions for building XBMC for Raspbian

paaland, XBMC is run outside of X and is independent of its configuration. You shouldn't start X before starting XBMC (I know, because I made this mistake myself). If your /boot/config.txt is empty, but default you should have a 16bit color depth. I tried that first, but only got the "cannot open d...

The building went fine, and took about 12 hours, but when I try to start xbmc all I get is a message box that says I need to run with color depth of at least 16 bits. How can I change the color depth in xwindows on Raspbian?
