Re: LoFi 8bit audio DAC

Nobody is using an 8-bit port to generate audio, that is really a very retro way of doing it. The PI has several audio output methods, the simplest one is that it has two PWM generators, which generate stereo through an updated (optimized) PWM algorithm, the audio quality has steadily improved in th...

s'il vous plaît lire le problème de démarrage collant (traduit automatiquement en français), si la réponse n'est pas là, je dois assumer votre PI a été endommagé.

Re: Some official RPI 7" touchscreen resolution issues with linage

Moved thread to android, and repaired the spelling mistake in the original subject line, linage to lineage.

If I may say so, don't use Android on a PI, use Raspbian, the version of KODI for raspbian (OSMC or LIBRELEC) works fine on a PI.

Also ask just one question per thread.

I have a few FAQ:

Why does windows want to format my SD-card?

probably the most asked technical question is:
Why does my PI not boot.

and yes, all my "common pitfall" sticky posts.

Those data, for making the molds, are probably not public domain, and probably not in a format suitable for 3D printing.

Re: IR emitter with Jack 3.5 m output

The 3.5mm jack output on the (later models) of the PI are purely and only A/V (audio/video) jacks, NOT USABLE FOR ANYTHING ELSE! if you have a physical device that contains an IR emitter with an 3.5mm jack plug, then that physical device is designed specifically for a specific product, and NO you ca...

Re: Is a new Raspberry Pi model coming?

the smaller HDMI connector was chosen for just one reason, it was the one option that did not need wave soldering, it is only reflow soldered, (with solder paste in an infra-red oven, like all the other parts on a zero) the low price is partly due to the fact that only reflow soldering is needed, an...

Re: short circuited rasp pi zero w GPIO (?)

Perhaps the ESC's have no, or insufficient measures against back EMF (Counter-electromotive force), and breaking causes large voltages to appear on their control inputs. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Counter-electromotive_force why are you using such a primitive old regulator (LM7805)? I would use e...

Re: short circuited rasp pi zero w GPIO (?)

If the GPS is using 5V, and so its serial output signal is also outputting 5V levels, that means you are breaking the primary rule of putting a voltage above 4V on a GPIO pin (serial receive pin). Which can cause a latch-up in the GPIO driver of that pin, which will destroy the chip by burning up a ...
