Re: CAM1 not detected on CMIO board with default dt-blob.dts

Add me to the list of people that got a Display adapter card instead of a Camera adapter card, and because the ID on the card is virtually invisible to anyone without an SEM, I blithely plugged in my brand new wide-angle camera, and could not get it to work. Not sure what I do now. I guess order an ...

Gordon,

Just to confirm. I just did

Code: Select all

apt-get update
apt-get upgrade
rpi-update
On a newly flashed CM (with the 2015-01-31 img), and it seems to be working for me -- no boot problems. The kernel ID was

Re: Support for OMX Face Recog

Just a note... there really is no 'yes and no' regarding this issue... OpenCV is not accellerated on the Pi currently, and the Face Recog portion of OMX does not work. Now, you can throw iron at the problem, and it is true that the RasPi 2, with its much more powerful CPU, does better with processin...

Re: video_scheduler / clock components -- playing video too

I just had a breakthrough with this, and thought I would post my findings. I got videos to pause and play at the correct rate. The secret is to carefully follow the directions in the OMX Spec. Get v 1.1.2 of the doc here: https://www.khronos.org/registry/omxil/specs/OpenMAX_IL_1_1_2_Specification.pd...

Jamesh, thank you for your quick response. Would you happen to know whom I should contact at the Foundation to get more information?

Re: Support for OMX Face Recog

This was my first thought, as well, but alas, it appears that OpenCV is currently unaccellerated on the Pi ( doesnt use the GPU), and we need the CPU to reliably deliver video frames to OMX at 30fps. Doing face recog at 3fps is probably sufficiect, but doing so kills the frame rate on our video.

Support for OMX Face Recog

In the official OpenMAX documentation, in the section titled 'Broadcom Custom Index List', there is a definition for this: OMX_IndexConfigFaceRecognitionControl as an available parameter index for the camera module. It's clear that OMX supports face recog on at least some platforms. However, as has ...

Re: OpenMAX JPEG/PNG decoding issues

Ive been trying to figure out how to display a png file, and after many days of searching, Googling, and coding, it just doesnt seem to work. Im wondering if there has been any progress on this thread, or if anyone might have some example code. OpenMax/IL is a toughie.
