Re: win32 corrupt my sd cards, or I'm just losing it.

Hmm, some one should edit these instructions then? Or perhaps I read them wrong? 3 Format your SD card to work with Raspberry Pi 4 (mac stuff) 5 Install the RetroPie image (using Windows) Though I sort of had the feeling the 3rd step was not needed. Yes, that was my error, I did forget to unzip the ...

win32 corrupt my sd cards, or I'm just losing it.

I have done this a few times with no issue, now for some reason this strange thing occurs. 1) I can not format my sd to fat with in windows. So I have to use a partition tool. 2) I can only format a fat to 4 gig (from what I know this is normal). 3) Once done I can use win32 DI to write my retropie-...

Re: local time wrong utc correct?

Well this problem was from anther setup. I personalty use linux for my router. The location it will be placed in is a standard spectrum modem/router. Not something I care to mess with. On my system here I use a masquerade/nat and forward everything in from one nic to the other. modprobe iptable_nat ...

Re: local time wrong utc correct?

I read 100's of issue on the same topic and there are 3 solutions. set time zone use ntp use google trick sudo date -s "$(wget -qSO- --max-redirect=0 google.com 2>&1 | grep Date: | cut -d' ' -f5-8)Z" The only one that works for me is to use the google script at start. And that does not wor...

local time wrong utc correct?

Ok I finally got my system to update the right time by adding the google http scrip in my rc.local. a date command returns the correct time for UTC but the local time is off by 1 day. The time zone is correct (EDT). What would cause the math to be wrong?

Re: Raspbian in QEMU: Any USB support?

Can't anyone help on this usb thing? Compiling kernels is not for the newbie types and dead links really are not helpful. I found a slew of command line options but none work with the emulators except -usb. When booted I have no idea where to go next. I'm just looking to pass-true a HID game pad dev...

Great way to use controller for emulators.

I have just started using the Pi for emulation and Found the Bliss-Box adapter quire handy. http://bliss-box.net/ mentioned by billb in http://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=78&t=18874 This adapter is hand made to order but very easy to use if you have older controller around. There is a...
