Re: Problems running python and C trough SNMP

I would also suggest using MQTT. I just implemented this with my weather project in c. Works a treat.

Re: B+ Broken MicroSD reader

Just had this issue as well. Pi is a good few months old and card keeps popping out.Probably with 10-15 card inserts. Hope the other 2 I've got also dont go faulty. Fixed it using asadziach's method above with the stapler. Not a long term method but I dont plan to touch the Pi again so it should las...

Thanks - just what I was looking for. I couldn't get my head around the logic but it seems pretty simple with your script.

GPIO to start script?

I've managed to setup a headless Pi with mpc which streams internet radio and plays via my bluetooth speakers. Since this is headless I want to setup a on/off switch where when when the button is off it will run this once: mpc stop And when the button is in the on position it will run this once: mpc...

My order which I placed 2 days ago: I can tell you this order as yet has not been processed, we have had a huge demand for this and we are working as fast as possible on these orders. ETA?: We are currently showing the 21.02.2014, we...

Re: My 13 year old son feels cheated

He shouldn't feel cheated - that is just part of life. The older versions as far as I know have not been discontinued. They are still more than capable of running most projects and is still a good platform to learn and play around on. I've been messing around on Pi's since day 1 and am still learnin...

Re: The element of surprise

Hopefully with the release of the Pi2 the prices for the previous models will be even cheaper. Oreder a Pi2 but for all my other projects that dont require high speed/memory those previous models will do very nicely.

Runs off to eBay to see if anyone is flogging their old models.

Re: USB to Canon camera - stops working after waking up came

Im interested to know if you have the same problem as me. if you leave your camera and it goes to sleep, when you wake it up does the Pi still detect the camera?

Mine doesn't - it might detect it once after a wake up but 9/10 times it doesn't.
