If you need more flash than 4GB you may want to use the NEC CM3 which has 16GB eMMC storage mounted.
Or use uSD with a CM3L.
Thanks for the advice on the CM NEC edition.

That doesn't solve my present problem though.

Re: Problems with rpiboot after mounting external sd card

As you want to use rpoboot I assume you have a CM3 (with eMMC) and not CM3L (without eMMC). On the CMIO the uSD can only be used with CM3L. You assume well. Problem appeared after I moved boot files to external sd card in order to avoid problems when installing larger file systems like opencv. Trie...

Problems with rpiboot after mounting external sd card

Hi all,

I cannot flash the CM3 using ./rpiboot after mounting an sd card and moving boot files to it. Rpiboot never recognises the CM.

Any ideas how to solve this?

Thanks

Re: 2 Raspberry Pi 3 B+ gone(?)

Using metal to hold anything electrical is a disaster waiting to happen. Might I suggest a strip of thick cardboard between the jaws of your hand helper, and the Pi? Hi @Imperf3kt Yes, you are deadly right. I actually have a lab stand with rubber-covered pliers which I'm planning to use from now on...

Re: 2 Raspberry Pi 3 B+ gone(?)

I'd say so, yes. There have been some Pis that died for no apparent reason, but with two dying in a short time, it's likely that something you did was the cause. So before killing some more, it might be worth while reviewing what you were doing when they died. Oh dear  Yes, I know what I was ...

Re: 2 Raspberry Pi 3 B+ gone(?)

First port of call, if you have a multimeter, is to measure the voltage on pin 1, relative to gnd (the metalwork on a connector is best) If it measures 0, the power management chip has probably died, perhaps because of something you did. If it's measuring 3v3, you've broken something else. One of t...

Okay.

Pin 1 showing little or no voltage (0.008v).
Pins 2 and 4 showing normal voltage (5v).

Any ideas???

2 Raspberry Pi 3 B+ gone(?)

Hi, This is in no way a ranting post about quality or the like. I am working in some prototyping using extensive camera testing (official and unofficial, modified and unmodified). This is the second Raspberry Pi 3b+ I lose in 2 weeks. I have no idea what happened, but I realise the green light stopp...

One quick question!

I don't understand how you run the script in both raspberries.

CM Camera Board Modification

Hi, I have been working for a while on this camera project. I know this has been discussed extensively elsewhere in this forum, but I believe the question is still relevant. The raspicam has been fitted with a M12 lens adapter. The original lens' casing has been retained. Successive attempts at scra...

Re: Raspberry Pi Compute Module Motherboard

Hi,

Nice job. I see the board has two camera connections. Are they the originals in the RPI CM or you changed them for the normal ones in RPI B+ etc?

What about the the connection to GPIOS to get the cameras work; do they work just as in any other Raspberry pi?

Hi, You have a point. My apologies for not having provided you with all the info you needed. I must admit that support here is incredibly fast and useful. So, having said that, I'll try to explain in more detail. I use the CM as a multispectral camera with 2 camera boards, one a normal RGB, the othe...

Re: Issues with camera v2 and jessie lite?

Hi 6by9, I stated in my previous comment, I did installed the dt-blob.bin file and I did manage to trigger the cameras separately. However, trying to run a script with parallel processes (e.g. trying to trigger the cameras at the same time, or as close as possible) triggers again the error, which do...

Re: Issues with camera v2 and jessie lite?

I have to go back to the old cameras. Despite the fact that loading the blob file solved the problem momentarily and I could trigger the two cameras separately, trying to run a script or run the two cameras in parallel would trigger the error instead. There is an issue with the V2 cameras and Jessie...

The same with old camera modules. I already had that problem before and it disappeared as soon as I reinstalled the software and hooked the old camera modules; as soon as I put the v2 cameras, the problem start all again.
