Re: Kodi 15 Packages for Raspbian Wheezy & Jessie for RPi2

Hi everyone, Just installed Jessie from scratch and installed Kodi 15.1 from the repo (apt-get install kodi). I have the black screen problem when I quit. The Amber skin also does not load properly, I dont have the skin under the buttons and I found it slower than OP's version on Wheezy. Does anyone...

Task bar with unwanted padding

Hi, My taskbar has been weird for a few days, like there is some padding in it. For example, I can't read the minute in the clock cause the digit is "eaten" by the padding. The raspberry is also incomplete (top and bottom are missing, like 2px each side) I've tried to work with the font size, margin...

Re: Kodi 15.0-rc1 Debian package for Raspbian on RPi 2

I don't even know, I know the update found Kodi, but was it from Michael's repository? (14.2) or 15rc1, I do not know, I'm just wondering if I should remove the repository for 14.2? (Not sure how to do that)

Playing music from webradios

Hi everyone, I'm trying to gather information on what I should install on Raspbian to play webradios (through winamp PLS files, or other types of stream files). I'm running Raspbian with the GUI, so I'm looking for the following criteria: Easy to install on Raspbian. GUI. Plays all types of streams....

Re: Kodi 15.0-rc1 Debian package for Raspbian on RPi 2

Thanks again for keeping everything nice and up to date :) Quick question though, I've run apt-get update / upgrade yesterday before installing 15rc1, and then startkodi didn't work anymore (I got a weird .cpp file error). So I rolled back to a previous state with Beta2 and I've updated to Kodi RC1 ...

Re: Kodi 15.0-beta2 Debian package for Raspbian on RPi 2

Thanks for the build and explanations, that's awesome for noobs like me. :) It's been working pretty well here, I just notice that the mouse cursor is very laggy when playing a video, but not when the menu is displayed over the video (still playing). Strange. Appart from that, it's awesome to be abl...

Re: I2C DAC and BerryBoot

Alright, so to use card #1 as main card:
Create the /etc/asound.conf file with the following content:

Code: Select all

pcm.!default  {
 type hw card 1
}
ctl.!default {
 type hw card 1
}
That works.

I2C DAC and BerryBoot

Hi everyone, I'm trying to enable my I2C DAC on Berryboot to use it with Raspbian & OpenElec. My DAC is a HifiBerry DAC+. It works perfectly on Raspbian, but I can't get it to work when using Berryboot. There is not much information about this so I'm hoping we can create some kind of generic help fo...

Re: Cannot boot anymore

Thanks, I saw the topic but it doesn't help. Maybe my SD card is corrupt but is there a way to repair it? What if it's a bogus patch on raspbian?

Re: HOWTO: Install Kodi on Raspbian

Well I boot to raspbian, and kodi starts automatically each time. Then I click exit and end up on my desktop as expected. Weird. I didn't do anything specific, my raspbian install it "out of the box", I simply installed kodi on top of it as explained in this topic. I do not know where to look in Lin...

Re: HOWTO: Install Kodi on Raspbian

Hi everyone, Thanks for this topic, Kodi runs great on Raspbian, appart from the exit bug. Hope it gets fixed soon. Question though: Kodi starts when Raspbian has finished booting up. How do I prevent that? I found a conf file in kodi with enableautostart=0, sounds like it's not doing what it suppos...

Volumio/other music distro on Raspbian?

Hi everyone, I'm currently running Raspbian wheezy on my RPi2. I've installed a Kodi distro on Raspbian too, I can surf and then lunch Kodi when needed. I would like to add a music player on the same model ( no standalone ) with the following features: Ability to stream from Spotify. Ability to play...

[RPI2]Tips on improving the sound from 3.5mm

Hi everyone, Edited to add answer. As many of you, I've been running into problems with the 3.5mm output/headphone jack. There is a lot to read on the subject, and I'm not sure what I should get to help improve the situation. I'll try to edit this topic as the answers come in to have maybe a "refere...
