There was a change of plan. Due to the huge demand, theywill now be sold through RS and Premier Farnell rather than direct through the foundation shop. There are numerous threads about it on the forum. I should warn you though, that there's a long waiting list.

I believe they bought out another company who happened to lisence from ARM. Can't remember who though.

I ca't really see that Intel and  AMD would be jumping at the chance to manufacture and distribute ARM based computers.

Good point,  I stand corrected.

The 7805 is an option though with a 9v pp3 battery, even if it does mean putting some thought into heat dissipation.

It'll be interesting to see what sort of battery life we can get out of it.
