Re: Screenly OSE -- Digital Signage for the Raspberry Pi

I have tried updating one of our Pis twice using curl -sL https://raw.github.com/wireload/screenly-ose/master/misc/upgrade.sh | bash however both installs have failed both times at the final stage with a fatal error. Am I doing something wrong? See this Issue on Github: https://github.com/wireload/...

Re: Screenly OSE -- Digital Signage for the Raspberry Pi

Hi, just a quick question, I've managed to create a webpage which now displays, however it shows a thick black border around the outside. Is this to do with hdmi overscan? It only happens when it loads the webpage, videos fit the screen perfectly.

Any help is much appreciated!

Thanks guys!

Re: Screenly OSE -- Digital Signage for the Raspberry Pi

I still have problems with Dropbox (and Onedrive) links. Can I save the html file locally in Raspberry and link to it? No, you need a webserver that can serve the file. Dropbox should work, but you need to ensure that it is being served as a website and not as downloadable file. Trying to achieve t...

Re: Screenly OSE -- Digital Signage for the Raspberry Pi

If i were to save the webpage as a html file instead of a php and re-upload to our web hosting, would this fix it? Yeah, that's unlikely to fix it. This is most likely some strange header issue. We've seen that a few times in the past where websites will send the wrong header. Can you post the outp...

Re: Screenly OSE -- Digital Signage for the Raspberry Pi

Hi! Is this because our pages are .PHP and not .HTML? Thanks for the kind words, Dan. In terms of PHP and HTML files -- neither is supported. Screenly can display HTML assets, but not serve them. You will need to host them on an external webserver and point Screenly to the IP/URL. Sorry. Basically,...

Re: Screenly OSE -- Digital Signage for the Raspberry Pi

Hi! May I first begin by saying thank you for creating Screenly! We tried many different solutions but since finding Screenly, we've settled on it and love the way it performs. Also, it doesnt crash! This was an issue we had with other solutions. Screenly appears to be incredibly stable which is inc...
