so... now my rpi2b arrived and i have tested it with openelec 5.0.5. and... it works out of the box - but only if the ethernet cable is connected.... if the rpi is not connected with the power supply and only the hdmi cable is connected to the monitor (LG Flatron L1970HR), it says "check signal cabl...

perhaps you have to activate cec for the tv and/or search for hdmi connected devices explicitly.
therefore have a look to the manual of your tv.

i could not find a repostory for git itself - e.g. like for owncloud, nginx.
so now you must upgrade to newer, bugfixed versions yourself, if needed.
