The cobbler was plugged in correctly (as in the image linked). I also verified that the ribbon cable is connected correctly by using my multi-meter to check continuity all the way through to the pins on the cobbler.

So I'm having a weird problem with my TinyLCD 3.5" TFT. I have written a little program using pygame that takes input from GPIO 4 and GPIO 17 and displays an icon on screen depending on the state of those pins.
