Re: RPi(Retropie) totally wrecks HDMI-CEC !?

Thanks for your reply! Apparently I’m not the only one having problems with this. So your setup also suffers from things around CEC that weren’t working anymore after connecting a Pi. If I mention correctly we both ended up disconnecting and resetting the CEC/ARC to make things work again. But, in t...

Re: RPi(Retropie) totally wrecks HDMI-CEC !?

Thank you very much for your reply! Unfortunately in my case even when disconnecting the Pi, the tv and/or receiver still just don't 'see' each other anymore, so it looks like the hdmi handshake is totally gone. Also this can't be recovered just by re establishing the handshake since no settings has...

Re: RPi(Retropie) totally wrecks HDMI-CEC !?

Don't want to bump my own topic, but really no one out there who has got any clue about this issue and wants to help me out! Can't imagine I'm the very only one every had this experience, since I read so much (although unclear) on the internet...

RPi(Retropie) totally wrecks HDMI-CEC !?

In the past I've got this issue with an openelec system, and yesterday again with my raspberry pi 2B based retropie system. The issue in short; Samsung uhd 65" tv (2016) Onkyo tx-nr616 receiver PS4, bob-player. The RPi2 put with hdmi into the onkyo, that's connected on the arc-input of the tv. Every...

Nice mediacenter RPi 2. overthinking thoughts..

Been away for a while, (had to do with hospital and things) but back at least, well almost! Anyway, I'm figuring out ideas to make a nice, little more luxury kind of ht system for myself. But...need you guys again for a bit of help. Most importantly, I would like to ask IF my ideas would work, and y...

Re: What shader is/are this?do you know?

So you'd prefer smoothen things up a bit, without additional lcd/scanline squares or lines? I also wanted to take a look at what I can accomplish that way, but then it should be really smooth I personally think. 2 or even 4 times hq is still much to blurry imho (in front of large screen, while sitti...

Interesting, and I sort of share that opinion  . Although I suddenly haven't figured out what my personal final verdict will be, is this what I mostly use atm also. But I still switch between a couple of micro sd's sometimes. In the end I must say I'm glad opening this topic, and like to rea...

Re: Sound quality on RPi2 ?

Kind of lost my way due all this topic crossing  ...

Anyways, if audio is not good enough for your needs or your future project, I recommend getting yourself an add-on board for your RPi. Or maybe an USB soundcard even.

Re: Raspberry Pi 2 Pin out

Quick question, wonder after looking at the link that's given here... I see there's multiple ground pins. If I, in example, plan to connect a couple of led's and a switch, is it recommended to use multiple different ground pins from the gpio connector, or doesn't it matter if I connect all ground wi...

Re: Do these kind of controllers work?

Don't know that type in particular, but do have tried several cheap-aftermarket-stuff usb controllers, and the ones I tried all work. As soon as the one you pick does work and is recognized, the changing of buttons often is accomplishable by just modifying your cfg files. Not really gamepad specific...

Re: Emulation Station 2.0 bgmusic possible?

Little bit late, but indeed there are couple of things that need to be moved in the install. Didn't knew exactly how I got it to work, but sure enough I did move a bunch of files to the new dir's of the new installed front-end. Don't know if you also had this, but I remember I also ran into an issue...

Thanks guys for [email protected] the poll, and especially the replies on top of that! Very glad people on this forum respond so quick and friendly also to this kind of 'open questions'! Which emulator setup you use/prefer?

Curious, and in need of advice... What emulator or emulation front-end / image do you use, or prefer? Made a little poll for this also. If that isn't appreciated, feel free to remove moderators. I began with standalone emulators, had retropie from v.2.3 until 2.6 now, and still happy with it. A whil...

What shader is/are this?do you know?

The problem is, I’m not sure whether or not to add scanlines and what to do about filtering... I’m close to a 55inch screen, and too much lines etc. Gives me headache! But smoothen things op with for instance like 4xbrz and without scanlines gives a nice cartoony look, but don’t know if that really t...
