GPIO pins are not designed to provide power! They only can deliver a few mA, and only either a 0V or a 3.3V signal. They are designed as control signals. To drive a relay you will need a relay driver. Beware that commercial relay driver boards are normally designed to be driven with 5V logical sign...

Hello! Im up to a project with a relay. But the relay doesnt click when im running the script, there is a small led that blinks when im running the script so its coded right but it doesnt click. 1. If you've never had any card boot with this RPi, get another card and put Raspbian on it, either via NOOBS or the image. 2. whats the difference betwen "Filename: OpenELEC-RPi2.arm-5.0.3.img.gz" and "OpenELEC-RPi2.arm-5.0.3.tar!"
i installed the .img. maybe i should try with the tar. but how do i do that?

both green and red leds are on. but My display says "no signal" just like when i was trying to install raspbmc with noobs before i got rid of that IT didnt work with rp2!

did install OpenELEC 5.0.3 (arm) Diskimage by win32diskimager but only got black screen. running a rp2... any ideas what it can be ?

Got the same problem when I'm trying to install raspbmc...
when i click yes it starts to install and it says that it was successful installations after a while, but then all turns black and the raspbmc won't boot. got the raspberry pi 2. Someone that can help me? Using a SanDisk 16gb microsd.
