Re: [VNC] Cannot currently show the dekstop

I could not switch away from GNOME to KDE or another desktop, the automatic logon did not work anymore and VNC never worked after the initial installation and updates. I like to tinker, but "Buster" is a piece of crap that should not have been released with all the bugs and incompatibilities. The PI...

Re: OKdo - Anyone else not received delivery yet?

When you go to raspberrypi.org and check the sellers per country, they are listed as a U.S. seller, which is clearly not the case. They may have a person working for them from here, or maybe even an office, but they clearly aren't selling or shipping from here. https://www.raspberrypi.org/products/r...

Re: OKdo - Anyone else not received delivery yet?

Well, it has been 10 days since my order and while it looks like it has shipped (not sure about that with the utterly useless tracking system they are using), it has not even made it to the U.S. There support picked it up and I got the usual "sorry... overwhelmed... inadequate systems...wasn...

Re: OKdo - Anyone else not received delivery yet?

Thanks. Take it as an unhappy customer venting :-) I understand politics, but hopefully this will at least trigger a discussion with the responsible managers at okdo. Whilst I cannot really argue against your comments on their ability, even 'just' a daughter company comes with strings attached. RS m...

Re: OKdo - Anyone else not received delivery yet?

Thanks for the explanation. As they are not Electrocomponents, but merely a very lame daughter company that has no clue what they are doing, it should be no problem whatsoever having them removed. The manufacturer may be doing a good job, What okdo delivers (or not delivers...) is utterly pathetic a...

Re: OKdo - Anyone else not received delivery yet?

Well, if they are not a scam, they do an amazing job looking like one in my books... I had enough and filed an internet fraud claim with my credit card company and started the paypal buyer protection coverage. I can live with them not being in the U.S., even though them being listed as U.S. seller i...

Re: OKdo - Anyone else not received delivery yet?

Ordered last week, and received the order confirmation. A day later a shipping confirmation with no tracking number. Tried to check the order number, but the system does not recognize the order number. Started numerous attempts to get an update to no avail. No response to e-mails, or facebook posts....

Re: Waveshare 3.2" TFT, Pi model 3, pygame problem

Well, I tried two of the same displays with the same result and both work just fine on a Pi 2. Looks like Waveshare did not update the drivers correctly, maybe the Pi 3 is simply too fast for their touchscreen driver. Back to the Pi 2 for me :-(

Waveshare 3.2" TFT, Pi model 3, pygame problem

Hi yall, I am going crazy with this issue - the installation of the 3.2 Waveshare is fine when running X11 and with TSLIB_FBDEVICE=/dev/fb1 TSLIB_TSDEVICE=/dev/input/event2 ts_calibrate I get the calibration from the command line done just fine, it shows the values and all is good. Now in my small p...

Access GPIO from multiple instances?

Hi, I am running a shell with a python script that is monitoring a physical button GPIO.setmode(GPIO.BOARD) GPIO.setup(37, GPIO.IN, pull_up_down = GPIO.PUD_DOWN) GPIO.add_event_detect(37, GPIO.RISING, callback=MenuButton, bouncetime=300) That works just fine and the MenuButton function is being call...
