Thanks!
I think you're confused and posting in the wrong forum? I created this "Raspuntu" distro and even I don't know what you're asking.

Re: Ubuntu / Linaro for Raspberry Pi 2

It's more than just looking at one package though -- you'd want to have the various shared libraries compiled for ARMv7 and NEON too. It's worth noting that Crankshaft (the fastest backend for V8, the javascript engine in Chromium) requires a minimum of ARMv7 instructions, unless they eventually rel...

Re: Ubuntu / Linaro for Raspberry Pi 2

The Pi2 has more power, more memory, and better instruction sets to take advantage of. Why should we be shoved into the same mold as a Pi1A? [citation needed] All things being equal, there's no noticeable speed difference between an application compiled for armv6 and armv7. You say that, but try ru...

But, that said -- if you're able to follow my earlier comments on the forum describing the system (kpartx, arm-qemu, etc) then I could share what I've got, but it does assume knowledge.

Is the build environment you used available ? It would save me a lot of work and I'm willing post various upstream updates for others to use. Not really.. it's just a handful of scripts and some big disk image files and an overlay directory. it started off with the intent of being easy to replicate...

I'm planning to do a new build based on Ubuntu 15.04, once that's out and had a chance to stabilise.
Hoping to sort out some of the desktop permissions issues at the same time.

Can I suggest you try the latest version? It comes with a GUI desktop installed, which sounds like it'll be a lot easier for you to use than the command line, if you're new to Raspberry Pi.

Can you shed some light on how this image was built? In what level of detail were you interested? The basic concept is to use kpartx and loopback mounts to manipulate all the partitions and file trees inside an initially-blank file on another machine to start with, using a base filesystem tarball f...

when I'm going from my monitor to television (both using HDMI), it's making the screen too large for the television. Re: Realtek-based Wireless adapter

I got it working by remove the wps_gui and install wicd-curses Use 'sudo dpkg -i xxxx.deb' to install, xxxx.deb is the file you downloaded from the above links. You may need to use 'sudo apt-get -f install' to fix the dependency issues if you one. Why didn't you just do "apt-get install wicd-curses...
