at the end i found a way... i don't know if it is what you meant,
i saved a new file in nano...

it took some experiment and research to figure out how but it succeeded...

"Connection refused" usually means you've reached a machine on your network that's alive, but port 5901 isn't open on that machine. Have you got the right machine and right port number? vnc connection error

Very often when trying to connect to the pi with the vnc viewer i get this error.
if i reboot the pi it is solved.
what may cause this?

So. I did followed your instruction (for a change). But I have the same results :) check it out... 1: the edited file 2: the small vnc 3: i also can't connect to raspbian often. only after rebooting once again. I will try to make the backup as you detailed later on...

I was trying to learn it once but it still made a failure to the system...

a pc and pi with the same mouse and keyboard

i've both wireless and wired ones now

the wired are for the pc
the wireless for the pi (raspbian)

i don't want to switch them when switching between the computers...

how can it be done?

i've an hdmi switch but without the sound and of course without the mouse and keyboard.

ok thank you and i will check the TTRSS later i hope... i also hope the installation is simple... in the meanwhile i'm still stuck with the screen resolution problem so i don't know what to do next. either try to install TTRSS or first reinstall the raspbian from scratch... my first hope with the rs...

You won't have to re-install Raspbian again. If you made a backup according to that guide then use the following: sudo cp /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf.bak /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf That will replace your edited .conf file with the backup you made, and you still have the bac...
