Re: Using logitech web cam C170

I am trying to use the higher resolution of the camera.

Can fswebcam capture a still image instead of a frame from the video mode.

The video mode is max resolution of 1024 X 768 but the still mode to up to 5MP.

I have looked through the man file with no luck.

Re: Using logitech web cam C170

Thanks, after I skipped 20 frame everything is running great

All subsequent reads are fine without the skipped frames.

Looks Like I just needed that to initialize the webcam.

Re: how do i fit a 16G image on a 8 G sd card

You were right the gparted program did make the image incompatible with the Image-shrinker.sh When I ran it with an image of the SD card that was NOT changed with gparted It reduced the image from 16G down to less than 3G. I will now try to use Win32DiskImager to copy it onto an 8G SD card. --------...

Re: how do i fit a 16G image on a 8 G sd card

Both image and script are on the pi home directory. The operating system micro SD card is 64 G File manager calls it 58.4 GiB Total with 38 GiB free space. Second partition was reduced using gparted. If I look at the SD card, that I created the image from, with windows disk manager the Second partit...

Re: how do i fit a 16G image on a 8 G sd card

I move my 16G image to thumb drive and copied it then to the Pi memory that was operating with a 64G sd card. I can't run it from the thumb drive as this is operating with NTFS FAT to allow for the large file size and the PI will only use this as a read only device. . Using the root user command ./I...

how do i fit a 16G image on a 8 G sd card

I have a 16G SD card and I want to copy the image onto a 8 G card. Following the suggestion of other posters I used gparted to reduce last partition size. The Raspberry PI now reports I have 3.5 GiB available. But when I use Win32DiskImager on my PC I read a 16G image. Which of course I cannot write...

Re: Backup SD

All this is nice but I still have a 16G sd card that i used gparted to reduce to less than 4G. When I Win32Diskimager on my pc I get a 16G image.

I don't have a linux machince, is there a way I can reduce the image file size on the PC so I can copy that image onto a smaller (say 8G sd card).

Image file copied on micro sd is 3.2G

When I install the image for Debian Wheezy Raspbian I downloaded here on a 16 G MicroSD using WIN32DiskImager following the instruction in Image installation guide. I can only access 2.9 G total when I use the File Manager on the Raspberry PI. This only leaves 400 M free for updates or installing ot...
