If you want to install the touchscreen on a clean install of Raspbian and not the manufacturers image, I have written a step by step guide on how to install the Waveshare 3.2" LCD written with Linux beginners in mind: http://www.circuitbasics.com/setup-lcd- ... pberry-pi/

Check here for a step by step how to guide on how to do this, written with the non-linux expert in mind. I'm assuming you mean the waveshare 3.2" LCD that comes with the DVK512 expansion board. http://www.circuitbasics.com/setup-lcd- ... pberry-pi/

Your screen is using the ads7846 touchscreen controller. The FBTFT drivers should work. You won't need to compile the kernel either. I have written a step by step how to guide if you want to see how I got mine going: http://www.circuitbasics.com/setup-lcd- ... pberry-pi/

Both methods work great, but they need a little setting up (port forwarding) first. I've written up a how-to for anyone interested: http://www.circuitb...
