Re: xinput-calibrator

@smanites I have set up xinput_calibrator as an alias that i can use in terminal for when the touch screen calibration is borked as i have no mouse or proper keyboard attached, it may help with your situation to run the command i use. sudo sh -c "xinput_calibrator | sed -ne 8,13p > /usr/share/X11/xo...

Re: xinput-calibrator

Sorry if this is duplicated, I have tried to get help with this. I also am using an eGalax based touch screen with Jessie. This worked perfectly with Wheezy but will not work with Jessie. The monitor is a Lilliput 10 inch resistive touch screen. Jessie will work with the HDMI Monitor but it won't r...

Re: Raspberry Pi 2 B kernel

If you run rpi-update you should find egalax touchscreen module has now been added to the kernel. (Have tested on vanilla Raspbian install using rpi v.2)

Cross-compile is no longer required. :D :D

You will however still need to calibrate the screen using xinput_calibrator.

Re: Kernel compiling for Pi 2

Steffen, Hi, when compiling for the RPI.v2 i used bcm2709_defconfig for the config instead of bcmrpi_defconfig. Other than that, the steps are the same as compiling for rpi.v1. Once cross compile was complete i copied arch/arm/boot/Image (or zImage for a smaller kernel) to kernel7.img then copied it...

Re: Raspberry Pi 2 B kernel

Hi,
I have successfully got the eGalax touchscreen to work on a v2 rpi.
I cross compiled a kernel using bcm2709_defconfig for the config instead of bcmrpi_defconfig (step 20).

If you are still stuck i may be able to offer some assistance.

Thx

Re: Car mediaplayer

Hi [Jesse, How far have you got with the install? What are you struggling with? Have you compiled a new kernel or used one of the versions posted online? Which OS are you hoping to use? I have compiled recent kernel and have touch screen running fine using Raspbian so i may be able to help out as lo...

Re: Pi reboots on shutdown

Hi nravanelli,

Which command are you using to shutdown your pi? try " sudo shutdown -h now "

Also if you are able to cross compile the kernel on another linux box then its more like 20 minutes compile time.

Re: 5 or 7 inch touchscreen?

Had to build a custom kernel for it but works well once set up. There are plenty of guides around for th...
