Hey ok so motion works with the pi? i streamed my video feed, 360x240 at 1fps, and i have a delay between 3 to 14 seconds!!!! its a bit insane!! my cpu usage is like 7% or so, and if i use iftop to see the data rate that im transmitting its like 7kB/s. The video feed is not at all usable at the mome...

Ive made numerous paths, /home/pi is the one im running now, gui apps work, but the moment i run a console application I get the error. :shock: sooo yes something to do with terminal? I donno... sigh

Thank you that was most helpful! I got an error after that just by starting a new project. When i build a console application, it gives the error the 'Cannot change to working directory '/path/to/program' No such file or directory'.

Ant wow ok you went all out hey! its awesome to build stuff like that for fun!!! im starting small with my first robot, but i want to do a proper job at it. will add extra stuff to it when project is done and working. Your help is greatly appreciated.

thank you for the feedback, i will look into the possible solution. i found ffmpeg today and it seems like a very powerful program, will see if i can get that hooked up with webcam and stream it. will look into VGAp15 too

Hello, i have a project that i wish to do with the Raspberry Pi. What type of realtime video compression can one do with a webcam and stream it over wi-fi?

Webcam will have pixel rating of 640 x 480.
