Re: STICKY: HOWTO: Create Custom HDMI modes

If there is an error in the operation of hdmi_cvt within the boot execution of /boot/config.txt , where would the error messages be posted ? Are you using hdmi_cvt or hdmi_timings as per my post ? I can confirm that what I did works with my unusual resolution panel. What happens if you use a versio...

Re: HDMI & /boot/config.txt problem

Enable ssh and use that. Or shutdown the RPi, pull the SDCard and edit it in another machine. The best way to get display devices working is usually to remove all the HDMI and framebuffer stuff from /boot/config.txt and let the RPi and HDMI negotiate the display mode that they can use. I do not bel...

Re: STICKY: HOWTO: Create Custom HDMI modes

We've had a steady stream of requests for supporting HDMI modes that aren't from the official CEA/DMT list of modes. I've implemented CVT: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coordinated_Video_Timings You specify the new mode in config.txt with the following config string: hdmi_cvt=<width> <height> <frame...

Edit /boot/config.txt and reboot is your only option.
Will it not simply boot back to the framebuffer_height and framebuffer_width
previously set.
Without a working display it is impossible to use the keyboard
to manually revert to the original config.txt setting.

Re: HDMI & /boot/config.txt problem

After tampering with the /boot/config.txt file to force an oddball display resolution, for an oddball HDMI display, if that display does not work and one wishes to Reset back to one's regular 1920x1080 monitor and physically replug that monitor into the raspberry pi 3 HDMI connector, is there a keyb...

Re: TV Tuner, Component Video and Composite Video

Where is a URL to the schematics for this board and the Compute board,
and point out what would have to be completely redesigned before
these TV interfaces could work ?
No local bus or Amba bus ?

Re: TV Tuner, Component Video and Composite Video

Raspberry Pi B+ is the device I was looking at.
What commercial and/or technical reasons would prohibit
the interfacing of this board to TV signals ?

TV Tuner, Component Video and Composite Video

When will this board be fitted with a TV Tuner, Component Video HD interface
and Composite Video (for Closed Captions assist) interfaces ?
The current board already has several video elements.
