Re: Integrated Python GUI builder and IDE

Hi,
Take a look at this https://github.com/dddomodossola/remi

This library has a drag n drop gui editor, and it renders in browser. It should be really simple to use.

Well. So I think you would like to pass multiple variables to the template function call.
Take a look at this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1174 ... -variables

Re: Database python script to output tables into HTML webpag

Previously you told about a rows duplication problem, now you says you would like to have two separate tables (there are already two separate tables). Maybe I missed something?
I have not understood the problem. Can you please better explain?

You can change your queries adding the DISTINCT keyword.

Re: Web Frontend for Audio Playback

Hello,
the reply depends on the webframework you will use to do this. If you says that there is no problem for the play button, than you already have an idea on which one you will use. Give us more info please.

Re: How to Create a user interface in raspberry pi

Hello, Nowadays there are two major kind of user interfaces you can adopt, standard guis or webinterfaces. If you use a standard gui you can benefit of speed. With webinterfaces you can access to your interface remotely. If you are a novice, consider to use tkinter. Otherwise take a look at this htt...

Re: GUI

Is there a motivation for which gui and transmission code must work in separate programs?

With this architecture you can make them communicate by means of a tcp socket or a database.

Re: IF Condition for Python Remi Library

Hello,

It seems that you have made a little error in the if statement.
Instead of using set_text('1') you should use get_text().

Let me know if you solve this way ;-)

Ghans is right! You will not need apache, php and so on... Just Python and REMI library. Here is your program :-D import remi.gui as gui from remi import start, App class MyApp(App): def __init__(self, *args): super(MyApp, self).__init__(*args) def main(self, name='world'): # the arguments are width...

SPI mcp23s17

Hi all,

Is there an example on using mcp23s17 with wiringPi2 or spidev? I need a piece of code showing connection, input, output.

Furthermore, are there some commands on how to show the spi devices connected on the bus like i2cdetect but for spi?

Thank you in advance.

Re: Python CGI Script

Maybe you can use REMI (RemoteInterface) https://github.com/dddomodossola/remi

With this library you can create webinterfaces for your scripts, and you don't need to install webservers or something else because it's all integrated.

Re: Python-powered Web Server example question

Thomas, the problem seems to be a file permision issue. This means that maybe you are running the program with sudo OR you installed Flask with sudo. Is it?

Re: Python-powered Web Server example question

I had two other people use my pi, and follow the example they provided. We all had the same results of that stupid error message. Is there a way to make a simple server using python code without using Flask which may be the problem so I can debug why it isn't working? This means it works, you can t...
