Re: Location and bearing of a stationary setup

Yea, I'm hoping to avoid a magnetic compass, and reply on maybe a second station that I can physically see and point at... Or is the accuracy of a single station with two antennas high enough?

Location and bearing of a stationary setup

Hi all! The grand plan is to build a station for tracking the movement of small animals on the ground from a stationary rpi+camera+gps+peripherals on a tripod. I need to get really accurate bearings. While I understand that the accuracy of the bearings may depend on the position's accuracy, the latt...

Dimenssions for ray-tracing the camera

Hi! I want to use the camera to track movements of fish in an aquarium while showing them different stimuli via an external screen. Because this specific experiment involves taking images of a screen through glass and water I'll want to be able to ray trace the whole scene. Everything from the scree...

Re: Gert's VGA 666 versus an HDMI to VGA converter

Important point (updated the table), but still, in my personal usage case (home theater), I think I'll go for the cable converter.

Re: Gert's VGA 666 versus an HDMI to VGA converter

Thanks! I've summarized your answers in the first post (in case someone wants to quickly know what the answer is). Feel free to add/correct and I'll update it. I have to admit, I started this off believing that Gert's VGA 666 addon would be the better choice out of the two, but reviewing the answers...

Re: Gert's VGA 666 versus an HDMI to VGA converter

Thanks for the reply guys! I didn't quite understand, does the 666 offer better color/resolution/fps/"quality" than the cable converter?

Gert's VGA 666 versus an HDMI to VGA converter

Hi! I'm going to buy my first Raspberry Pi (B+). I'm going to connect it to a projector that only has a VGA port. I can either get Gert's VGA 666 addon or an HDMI to VGA (cable) converter. While I'm sure the addon should be better than the standard cable converter, I could not find a concise list of...
