Re: Chromium Crashing

Ok, I load youtube and it says my browser does not currently recognise any of the video formats available, but doesn't crash.

Re: Chromium Crashing

I'll give it a try in a moment. On the Synology front I don't even get to the stage of the Surveillance station loading when the browser crashes out on the Pi.

Re: Chromium Crashing

Well the Synology works on Chrome on a Windows pc, so I think it's an issue with something in the Pi software at the moment. I've not tried an html5 video, would that be youtube?

Chromium Crashing

Re: Netgear Wireless Adaptor

Just an update, it appears this issue of the Netgear dropping out isn't just a Pi thing, it frquently drops out in my pc, but the pc will auto reconnect the usb device, where the pi hasn't appeared to do that at all.

XMBC

I'd like to set a pi up using XMBC on my old ancient CRT tv, which of course does not have HDMI, but does have RCA Composite.

I have a B+, should I use that with an HDMI to RCA converter cable or buy a Pi A?

Re: Netgear Wireless Adaptor

Not much hope. I think I'll try a different adaptor

Though some reading suggests the USB port can't supply the correct power to the wireless adaptors.

Re: USB WIFI dongle was working and now isn't (EDIMAX EW-78

I'm not sure if there's some kind of ip address conflict going on. If I look at my LAN and look at attached devices, it comes and goes, MAC address changes (device name then goes to unkown), then IP address changes, something wild is going on.

Shows us that everything is there and recognised.
But it doesn't show that to me! Since I'm not in the room with you.
I did guess that's why you asked.

Re: Netgear Wireless Adaptor

Have you had any reliability issues with yours? I keep losing the connection and the settings entirely, I have to reboot for it to work again, only for it to work only for a moment.

Ah, eventually, after a few reboots, I've managed it.

Thanks for the suggestion to try it before installing anything else, seems to have worked.

Re: Netgear Wireless Adaptor

I think I can see the adaptor. In wpa_gui, for Adapter: it was wlan0.#

It's scanning, saying 'wps-ap-available', looks like it's being stubborn about actually connecting, it hasn't yet connected.

I can't say I did try it before hand.

I wonder if the best way to try again is to wipe the card clean and re image the card and try the adaptor before anything else.

Netgear Wireless Adaptor

Hi all. I'm trying desperately to configure a netgear N150 on my B+. I've been using this guide http://www.instructables.com/id/Connect-the-Raspberry-Pi-to-the-NetGear-G54N150/ I can't seem to actually get it to work. During boot up, the blue led will light on the adaptor, then go out, but doesn't a...
