Re: Why is the PI2 camera-shy ?

This is all really interesting. Hard to believe that this issue slipped through the net.

Can't wait to hear the Foundation's response - a bit of damage limitation incoming perhaps? :)

Re: KVM Swich - need some recommendations please

Thanks for the replies - I hadn't realised that decent KVMs were so expensive. Way out of my price range. That's a real problem for me - I really don't want to have to mess around swapping cables every time I switch between the Pi and PC (and I only have one keyboard, mouse and monitor). With some ...

KVM Swich - need some recommendations please

I want to hook up my new Pi 2 to my PC monitor, keyboard and mouse and switch between the PC and Pi 2 as and when I like. The PC monitor has both DVI and VGA inputs (the PC is using the DVI), but I guess that the display quality will be a little better with DVI so I ought to use that for the Pi 2. T...

Re: Can the RPi utilise a USB Blu-ray player?

But backing up the discs is time consuming - much better to be able to pop the disc into a drive. :)

Can the RPi utilise a USB Blu-ray player?

Title says it all really - naturally you'd need to use something like Raspbmc to access the drive and process/display the data, but will the RPi successfully access a USB Blu-ray drive? Also, how are discs handled from various regions? Any issues playing back Region A, B, C as required? Any iddues w...

Re: new youtube "Raspberry Pi - It's Here"

Nice vid, thanks for the pointer.

As already commented on, the Pi does seem worryingly slow. I can imagine a LOT of kids damning it seeing as they are used to faster PCs.

Let's hope that some software tweaking will speeds things up a lot.

Re: Adding more RAM - presumably impossible?

Thanks, didn't see that topic (even though I did a search for 'ram' in topic titles).

Fair enough, 256MBytes is all we're likely to have for now (AND for the next year or two at least?).

Re: Adding more RAM - presumably impossible?

From looking at the board, it appears to be absolutely impossible to add more RAM - is that correct?

Are future board revisions likely to perhaps provide the abilitiy to increase the onboard RAM?
