Re: Any workaround for USB HUB STT?

What is the rating of the power supply for the hub? As thagrol said, most 7-port USB hubs contain two 4-port USB hub chips with the last port of the first chip linked to the upstream port of the second chip, and there is a limit on the number of USB endpoints (logical devices) that can be connected...

Re: Any workaround for USB HUB STT?

Yes it is 7 port hub, I tested all the ports with my PC. for the upstream. the USB hub is connected to one of the Pi's port. More information can be found on the issue: https://github.com/raspberrypi/firmware/issues/1222 Whenever I connect the 3G dongle the HDD will have random disconnects. Do you t...

Any workaround for USB HUB STT?

I have a problem with a new USB hub, it has an external PSU. It is a generic USB Hub 7 ports, based on lsusb, it has two USB STT not TT per port hub. I have 3 devices connected but this causes the USB HDD SATA to disconnects (USB SATA is connected directly to Pi and not in the hub, since that hub ca...

Re: rtorrent - Caught Segmentation fault

I can confirm that the Segmentation fault happens too in a RPi 3B+ with latest Debian 10 Buster release. I am using a portable USB SATA HDD as the rootfs. If I have the time, I will try to trace the error with GDB. In the meantime, I am using aria2 to download torrent files as well as direct downloa...

Re: Investigating USB Hub + Ethernet dongles

Hi, I am having problems with 7 port no name USB Hub externally powered, it has 2 single TT USB as shown on the lsusb -vvv. If I plug in a Webcam. USB 3G Dongle and a USB DVB-T reciever. it resets the Pi's USB HDD and this result in an I/O error. Can this be fixed by rpi-update? I may create a new t...

Re: how to make live streaming of video in my android phone through wifi

If you want to stream video only then use the Motion it is a CCTV live monitoring software. It can be installed in Pi and you just need a Camera source, the official Pi cam or a USB webcam. To stream it just visit your PI's IP address and motion port to a browser and it will show you the live feed.

Re: url redirect to ip

Thanks, will try this. Will this slow down browsing experience for users on the network in any way? You may also want to try Pi-hole, it is a DNS level ad-blocking system, it requires you to make the Pi as the DNS server so you can set the IP address as hostname for local network. If the Pi is powe...

Re: pihole dns not working

Did you change your Router's DNS server to point to the PI-hole IP address? If you routers DNS address is 192.168.1.1 and your Pi-hole's IP address is 192.168.1.4 then you need to change your Router's DNS to 192.168.1.4. If you do not want to set it at the router level then just change your Windows ...

Re: RPi internal usb hub not working

The polyfuse blows after 6v, so applying 5.5v won't blow it. You might be able to use the Pi in a headless set up, but being a Pi2b without WiFi and having both USB and ethernet not working, well... But that temperature, if accurate... Should mean your Pi's SOC will shortly die and is the part you ...

you shoudl not modify the entire motion.conf , leave the commented entries commented unless you need to use them, comments are in ; and # it might be wise if you create a file for your camera, eg. /etc/motion/camera1.conf and add that to the motion.conf at the end of the file: camera /etc/motion/cam...
