Re: IQAudio Dac+ HAT compatibility

Might be worthwhile contacting IQaudIO. There _might_ be software issues, but I doubt it. Still, asking the actual manufacturer of the board seems sensible. I'm not sure that IQAudio actually exist anymore, their web site is down and I can't find any new hardware by them. As long as it will fit OK ...

Your challenge, should you accept it, is to correctly pronounce Howick in the Northumbrian rhotic dialect and then to compare it with the pronuciation of Hawick in the Scottish Border's dialect.

Re: Raspberry pi 4B fan is too loud.

I did not do anything, I was pointing out how someone on your link solved the problem. ;) I recently bought a used rpi4b from a poster on another forum. It came in a case with a 5 volt fan installed, I swapped the red connection from the 5 volt to the 3 volt pin, the fan is now really quiet. :) You ...

Re: Raspberry pi 4B fan is too loud.

From your link Mar 2020 Kit is exactly what you need to get going with the RaspBerry Pi 4. Cables. Power Supply. Case. Only remark was the small cooling fan is very loud if installed according to the manual. It then runs at full speed all the time. My solution was to install a 33 ohm resistor in ser...

It is possible to this with Squeezelite (player) running the Logitech Media Server. I have done this in the past using a dac HAT and a usb dac from the same raspberry pi. I can't remember if I tried syncing the two players but it should be possible. I think though that only one instance of Raspotify...

Done this; Create a bootable USB drive Use the Raspberry Pi Imager to flash Raspbian to a USB mass storage device. Other distros have not been tested and may require updates (e.g. u-boot). One reason for having a public beta is to help get USB MSD boot support into other distros. Download the updat...

Thanks for the .conf info. I don't have a boss dac, so that may come in handy some day for someone else :P I find that swapping cards with Buster easier these days and don't bother with "pimixer" (its equivalent was removed from Buster). Glad you back to normal Take care and stay safe ;) ronnie

Re: Audio problem: cannot play online radio streams using a digital audio converter with Rasp Pi 3b+

I have the same screen using a usb dac. (raspbian Desktop without the recommended software)

Sometimes it is best to use alsamixer to set the output volume (if this is possible).

Sometimes it is necessary to change the card order to place the USB dac before the default soundcard.

Re: Raspberry pi Imager

If using Etcher (or our Imager) you do NOT need to format the card first. I am aware that this is so. Still, when all is said and done, it has been my experience that with the larger capacity cards (as per the OP) a format sometimes is a "spoonful of sugar" ;) I refer to https://www.raspberrypi.org...
