Re: PoE HAT - USB Ports not working - over-current (FIXED - New Hardware Release)

I've got mine with Black Friday discount. It's running nicely with 2TB HDD & RTL-SDR stick so power budget appears to be good. Happy user - thanks!

Re: Multiple static IP addresses on eth0 Raspian Stretch using dhcpcd

With iproute2 the notion of "interface alias" found in ifconfig is gone. You can "ip address add 192.168.1.1/24 dev eth0" and "ip address add 192.168.1.2/24 dev eth0" and then "ip address show" will list both addresses under eth0. Perhaps you can try adding multiple "static ip_address=..." declarat...

sudo update-rc.d dhcpcd disable This does not seem futureproof Not future proof indeed... You should start using 'systemctl' https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-use-systemctl-to-manage-systemd-services-and-units sudo update-rc.d dhcpcd disable replaced in my script with the syst...

Multiple static IP addresses on eth0 Raspian Stretch using dhcpcd

I am looking for a solution to use multiple static IP addresses on the eth0 interface under Raspbian Stretch by using dhcpcd as that appears to be the Raspbian networking solution going forward. I haven't found anything other than using the /etc/network/interfaces settings: auto lo iface lo inet loo...

Re: PoE HAT - USB Ports not working - over-current

I'm glad to see the blog post! I'm glad the foundation took the problem seriously & I'm glad @Jamesh has been keeping us up-to-date. I can only hope that the foundation draws lessons from the lack of communication. The Register is not exactly my daily-go-to information supplier. Anyhow, it's now tim...

Re: PoE HAT - USB Ports not working - over-current

Any sign of the new HAT's in the retail channel and/or any info on how to physically recognize the new version?

Re: PoE HAT - USB Ports not working - over-current

James, Like I said, it's a weird one, but we do have a fix and are working on getting it out there asap. Could you provide some extra insight? Is it a problem with the Poe HAT, the 3B+, the firmware? And: how to recognize the fixed items with expected time to market? I would think many resellers wil...

Re: PoE HAT - USB Ports not working - over-current

I LIKE to be an early adopter but did not go for a pre-order or even an immediate order when available. Reason: Time between announcement and availability was too long - to me a warning sign. Then when they became available I waited a few weeks to first check for Raspberry POE hat Problems in a sear...

Interesting - I hadn't realised that people didn't know there was a problem.

There will be a v2, blog post should cover all the details.
Known or not, they are still for sale as if nothing is wrong..... See: https://www.sossolutions.nl/raspberry-p ... i-model-3b
