i do have a full spec HDMI cable , but im not sure if i have libCEC installed, i thought it was built in?

On my TV it doesnt show as a Symlink device that i have seen, maybe i missed it.. i will double check tonight, but when i plugged the sky in, it automatically detected it ...

I have 2 ip cameras, I tried to get zone minder to work but it just wouldn't display the camera images.

As my pi is on 24/7 it would be cool if I could use it as a motion detection tool.

I know there are some decent pc programs but my pc is power hungry, any one have any suggestions?

I have a Netgear DGN2000 that has the option to setup a VPN connection and i dont have a problem setting that up with a little help and googling, but what i will need advise on is getting this working with the raspberrypi. i used win32diskimager or something, installed something called test img and then it does the rest.

ok so got my pi running on raspbmc. gave it a static IP. got the XBMC running and got BBC HD iPlayer running and added sources from my network and its streaming great, only thing i need to do is get the wifi working ... stumped at the moment. also got AirPlay working too also its controlled by a rem...

If a post mentions "windows" or "microsoft".. could we first ask the user read a summary or something before he gets to post? I'm getting tired to these posts as they are more pointless than the usual. People learn by asking questions ... leave them alone to learn instead of lording it over them ..

can i use win32diskimager like i did to make debian img to SD card? then maybe use another application to make the storage size bigger as i have a 8GB SD card .

i got debian installed as it seems to be fine, just wondering about maybe installing xmbc for video when needed but i would also like to have the option of apache server/php etc during the day when needed.

But seems i cant run the two on the same OS? and run run or the other when needed or can i?

i re imaged the fedora image onto the SD card and chose a complex password to start with then from the terminal did a reboot then was able to login

i have downloaded the fedora14r1 from the ARM installer it asks me to change my password by default, which i struggle to do in the time, but after then it wont let me login to the GUI after running startx. I'm not a total n0b to linux, but it wont let me login as user or as root with either my weak ...
