The goal being, to allow users to have access to the code at the same time. I know python is able to control sonic-pi. so with that in...

Re: streraming media from ubuntu to the pi

I think the answer you might be looking for moonlight streaming.. although this may require an nvidia graphics card still.. im not sure on that. This solution would stream your entire desktop to the Pi. https://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/questions/42311/stream-games-screen-to-kodi beyond that you...

my hunch is No. raspberry pi and bluetooth speakers always(in my experience) is a little finicky. unless there is some 3rd party software capable of doing this I dont think its possible

Re: alternatives to motion for video surveillance

The only alternative I can think of would be sound. Have speakers set up and if a sound goes over a certain number of decibels then it starts recording video OR assuming an intruder is hot. maybe a humidity sensor lol OR you could have pressure sensors in the ground or if a door opens then you start...

bike navigation

Hello,
for my project:
An android phone would communicate with the raspberry pi via bluetooth or wifi to send signals from google maps

the hard part for me is understanding the best way to go about interfacing with google maps and getting it to talk to the Pi.

Any suggestions?

I am running a script that works on sockets.. It requires sudo to run.. however, Inside the script i call another script that requires not to be run as sudo here is the code: import subprocess import socket s=socket.socket(socket.AF_INET, socket.SOCK_STREAM) #s.settimeout(5.0) host='192.168.1.148' p...

Re: Connecting PC to raspberry pi Networking

I solved the second question with the port by having some sort of timeout. Im not sure why it works exactly but it does. import subprocess import socket s=socket.socket(socket.AF_INET, socket.SOCK_STREAM) s.settimeout(5.0) host='192.168.1.148' port=1023 s.bind((host, port)) s.listen(5) while True: c...

Re: Windows to Pi with python

how do i work around Pulseaudio not being able to run with escalated privileges? I'd ask that on a new thread port closures do not work in the manner we muggle want them too. There is dark arts stuff going on that won't allow port re-use until timeouts (that us muggles can't change despite document...
