Re: Deliver email from Farnell Export?

<t>I received the following "update" on April 26 for my order placed March 3:<br/> "New delivery dates are automatically been communicated to our customers by next week.<br/> Apologies for this delay."<br/> So hopefully some news soon from Farnell Export - I had enquired to Farnell UK on why I could...

Re: No Pi - Sulking

<t>Alternatively, you could suck in your lower lip, get off yer bum and phone RS! <br/> Detail the evidence of where you see your spot in the queue should be and maybe find out what they can do to satisfy their customer. Surely that would not have taken much more time than was spent posting here!<br...

Re: Am I missing something ?

<t>+1 to what Nightowl said!<br/> Hopefully we"ll all spend much more time playing with our Pi than we did waiting for it <br/> <br/> Nothing much wrong with the Forum that I can see. Perhaps a sticky with important updates might help the time poor keep across things, but if if my previous experienc...

165491xx 14:18 3/3 - so I"m guessing I"ll be a recipient of a serial production board.
Shouldn"t be too much longer than a month or so I"m hoping!

Re: Delivery soon in Australia!

<t>Err, I don"t want to curb your enthusiasm, but I ordered 4/3 @ 2:00am and my order has been "processing" ever since - perhaps they are just cleaning up the status of orders in the queue... Anyways, I hope you get yours soon and mine is not too far behind, I"m sure the little wait will be worth it...

Re: R-Pi Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games (MMORPG)

<t>Wow! Very exciting project!!<br/> FWIW, i really like the idea of Robert_M to have a "branch" of the game that allows users to learn coding. Perhaps something as simple as having to complete some code correctly to get points/next level. The "Game" itself wouldn"t have to necessarily be a tutorial...

Re: New E-mail From element14

<t>I just received the email also and I"ve gotta say I thought it was a good example of a transparent and thoughtful supplier. I"d also like to say I think the Foundation is doing a great job with the project - keeping us informed in a timely manner when there is something relevant. I check in most ...

Re: How would you use a Raspberry Pi device?

<t>Well yes, i"ll probably have one running OpenELEC/Xmbc to run the kids movies through, but i"m also hoping that a few of them (5 from 3-12y/o) will have a go playing around with some of the software people will be developing!<br/> <br/> I"m also interested in getting Gert"s board and playing arou...

Re: Has anyone actually received a board yet?

<t>Have you seen the posts about an incorrect Ethernet socket built into the first 10,000 units? They had to be shipped back to the factory to be fixed, then shipped back to the UK to be distributed. This *may* have affected the production of the following runs and set back fulfillment of orders. Un...

OK, so if we ditch the PSU, is the hub itself worth buying? I have plenty of PSU"s, but thought a 7 port hub might be handy when playing with the Pi....

Re: Injection Molded Case!

I"d be interested in one!
PayPal allows people without accounts to just pay with their credit card and doing refunds is easy - tho I seem to remember you had to do them individually, not as a "batch". Looking forward to seeing the final design and placing an order!
