Grateful thanks to you all. Yes the problem was the 'I' in 'infinity' I should have typed 'Infinity' I think Mathematica treats the lower case as a variable where with the initial capital letter it recognises Infinity as, I was going to say a value, for what it is. Mathematic query

I have been testing out Mathematica in Raspbian and typed this Sum[1/n^2,{n,infinity}] In English this should sum the reciprocals of the squares i.e. 1 + 1/4 + 1/9 + 1/16 + 1/25 + 1/36 etc The surprising result should be pi^2/6 However Mathematica returns HarmonicNumber[infinity, 2] Why does it not ...

Both red and green lights are on. Neither is flashing. I had the disk image of Raspbian and just copied it to the SD card. Have I erred? Does this also stop the TV displaying anything?
