Would require a major redesign and edging towards a Pi3B+.
The options you described may seem a bodge, but work.

Re: Build a web server first project problems!!

Hi and welcome to the forum. This is python code which relies on indentation. Note I edited your post to include the CODE tags, and it highlights the indentation which would of otherwise be missed. The error message tells you that there is an unexpected indentation on that line - remove the indentat...

Re: Help getting new 2.2 tft LCD working with b+

Although they may still work, they do look like outdated instructions. Have a look in /boot/overlays/ and see if there is one for your display, which maybe listed as pitft22. If so you should be able to give the instructions for my display board, but use pitft22 in place of hy28b : https://www.raspb...

Re: New Raspberry Pi model 3B+ 1.4 GHz, 330Mbit Ethernet, 802.11ac, PoE

Just received my 3B+ on Friday and installed everything yesterday. Unfortunately it crashed twice already without installing more software than Raspbian OS showing memory errors on the console. Power supply is original Raspberry one, changed SD card to another one for testing. No change in stabilit...

Re: New Raspberry Pi model 3B+ 1.4 GHz, 330Mbit Ethernet, 802.11ac, PoE

I deleted the reference to config.txt file, which is not necessary, to avoid confusion. Texy Leaves the question, what does the reference do in config.txt. It was mentioned several times now, Dougie e.g. I do not know where the safe_mode_gpio settings are documented? safe_mode_gpio=4 had to do with...

Re: New Raspberry Pi model 3B+ 1.4 GHz, 330Mbit Ethernet, 802.11ac, PoE

does it have to be Stretch, or will good old Jessie still work as well ?? If the assumption is correct that all the magic happens in kernel and firmware packages on Jessie you need a file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/stretch.list with these contents and a file called e.g. /etc/apt/preferences.d/99kernel...

Maybe post the latest version of your code. Your first example doesn't appear to allow a clean exit, which is important in order to do the cleanup() before the program exits.

Re: GPIO Runtime Errror

Hi, it's not an error as such, but just a warning that some GPIO lines have already been setup The message should not appear the first time the program is run, but probably after the program has quit, and re-run. You can clear the error by adding GPIO.cleanup() at the point that the program quits. W...
