Re: BBC News *FAIL*

Maybe everyone without a Pi should ride a magic carpet to go and meet the King of the Potato People and beg him for one.

Re: Random?

Just had a thought, if the Raspberry Pi has no real-time clock, will there be any way of having random number generators? When I made one in C++, it required 'seeding', which uses the time and date. I presume this won't work?

Re: The MagPi Magazine www.themagpi.com

<t>Excellent, I"ll start typing up some ideas soon enough.<br/> <br/> I alo had an idea, perhaps a section explaining basic programming concepts? Things like if statements, loops etc that are universal to all languages. It"d certainly help the people writing code sections and the kids in general if ...

<t><br/> @ kirbyman62 – You can have your own section on C++ if you like!<br/> <br/> <br/> Haha, that's very nice, I'm no expert though, I'm still very much a beginner myself, but I certainly wouldn't mind that at all. I do have exams though, so I wouldn't be able to begin immediately, perhaps Issue...

Re: The MagPi Magazine www.themagpi.com

<t>Looks great, congrats, I can"t wait for the next one. Would you consider taking C++ submissions? I"ve made a nice little hangman game that could be quite fun for younger kids. If not, perhaps someone could "translate" it to Python.<br/> <br/> On the website, I would perhaps make the Twitter link ...

Re: MagPi – Raspberry Pi Magazine

<t>Very small typo, but I thought I'd point it out. In the RacyPi article, in the LiveCD Boot section, it says "If you don't have a CD/DVD drive for your system, then see also the side for information about booting from a USB device." I presume it should say "site" instead? As I said, nothing major,...

<t>I would recommend you teach him that he isn't going to be making games (at least not what I would define as a 'game', I've just started programming and have a little hangman game running well, but nothing in comparison to Zelda) for a good while, and he'll need to learn how everything works befor...

Re: Getting Teachers Interested in RasPi

<t>I"m 15 and I"m taking Computing at GCSE. I love it (it"s what got me interested in programming and hence RPi), but it"s very easy. Based on the coursework I"ve done, I"ve basically passed anyway, and I haven"t taken the exam yet.<br/> <br/> We code in Visual BASIC.Net and are given relatively sim...
