Tomy Atomic Pinball

Hey all, I'd like to be able to control the aforementioned pinball machine using GPIO and a Pi, but have no idea where to start. I'm not experienced with electronics, so keen to understand what I need to know to (in my basic understanding) intercept signals going back and forth to understand the sco...

Re: Powershell for Raspbian?

Yes! You can! https://github.com/PowerShell/PowerShell/blob/master/docs/installation/linux.md#raspbian Actually EXPERIMENTAL in Raspbian Stretch: https://github.com/PowerShell/PowerShell https://memegenerator.net/img/instances/500x/35078771/technicalities-technicalities-everywhere-.jpg Still, the a...

Re: Physical Terminal

Raspbian would be fine. Write a VT100/220 terminal emulator using Qt 5. If you can't find such a thing already written. Run the VT100/220 emulator straight into the frame buffer, no X Windows required. Sounds like a sweet project. Writing a terminal emulator is a bit out of my reach I'm afraid! But...

Re: Physical Terminal

Well you wouldn't be wrong at suggesting that there are plenty of terminal emulators out there, however I'm looking for a PHYSICAL terminal. No emulation.

I would be happy with a perhaps smaller modern equivalent ;)

Physical Terminal

Good evening all, Ever since I saw this photo... http://66.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lpo5dfqyIz1qz4mo8o1_r1_1280.jpg , I have been enamoured with the DEC VT220. Given that these are now extremely hard to come by, in even half good condition, I would like to recreate one... Somehow... My thoughts are t...

Raspbian Net Install Configs

Hi guys, I was wondering if any of you lot would be happy to share your configs for your Raspbian Net Installs? We currently deploy a number of Pis around our business to use as information radiators, but they take a bit of work to configure (I'm not a fan of imaging them due to different variables)...

Re: Minimal Server Distribution

RPiRoss, Do what? I was running Linux with X Windows a browser and other GUI goodies on it from a 1GB hard drive back in the day. Including OpenGL accelerated games. All of my Pi have only 8GB SD cards. Yeah I'm aware that's possible, however I don't want to have to run anything I don't necessarily...

Minimal Server Distribution

Hi guys, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post (mods please move if necessary), but today I purchased the Raspberry Pi 2 in the Amazon Prime deal thingy as I've wanted a personal one for ages to purely run Nagios on. Anyway, the starter kit that I've purchased only comes with an 8GB SD car...

Re: VNC Issues

Hi Ross, Did you get any solution? I'm trying to do something similar, using Remmina to access a remote desktop session on a VM server. The client connection is fantastic, but I can't automatically connect from booting. Maybe if we combine both of the working bits from both of our projects we could...

VNC Issues

Hi there, I'm going to try and break this down so it's a little easier for people to understand! My problem : I currently work for a charity that houses vulnerable adults who require internet access for various reasons. Due to the nature of this clientele, any computer use must be monitored at all t...
