Re: Cutting the Raspberry Pi A+ board

I don't think Dougie ever claimed to be GOD, an old geek with way too much time on his hands perhaps..... Your attitude to a £15.50 computer board depends on how easily you can come by another one. I've made a lot of mistakes that have cost me a lot more than £15.50 in my time, damn the risk, get t...

Re: Cutting the Raspberry Pi A+ board

Well, I bit the bullet and took a dremel to the A+. Its a pretty bad cut.

Worked. Obviously, I do not recommend this.

Tempted to see how much of this board I can chop off! :D

Cutting the Raspberry Pi A+ board

Hi all, This might be an odd question but my project is massively size dependant, is it possible to cut the red area off of a Raspberry Pi A+ off and still have it function? http://i.imgur.com/RRaTPhP.jpg As far as I can tell there is no other circuitry there other than the connection to the pins. I...

Wiring Compute modeule

Hi all,

This may or may not be a stupid question :)

Is is possible to connect power and peripherals (like an lcd screen) directly to the compute module? without the breakout board?

Thanks in advance!

Battery connected to GPIO

Hi all,

Firstly I know this isn't recommended and could damage my board but, is possible to power the Pi using a 3.7v battery connected directly directly to the gpio pins without any additional hardware?

Thanks in advance!

PSP analogue pad on Pi noob issue

Hi all, Pardon the "noobness" but I'm trying to configure a PSP analogue pad for the Pi ( http://www.newsdownload.co.uk/pages/RPiGpioPspAnalogJoystick.html ). I'm pretty sure its wired up correctly. I'm stuck on configuring it. I'm following the instructions here: http://www.newsdownload.co.uk/pages...

So, you are saying pins 19, 21 & 23 can be shared and I move pin 24 to pin 26 right?

Thanks!

Question about connecting ILI9341 display only

Hi all, I have successfully connected my ILI9341 display ( The same one used here http://www.virtualfrontiers.co.uk/index_13.htm ) and am using fbcp to mirror the display. Sending command before RetroPi GUI boot

Hi, I would like to execute a couple of lines of command line code before the graphical part of the boot process kicks in. I'm from a DOS background and am new to Linux. Is there a file a can edit where I can add a couple of lines of command line code before the graphical mode kicks in?
Thanks!

Whats the absolute smallest QVGA display I can use?

Hi all, I'm starting a project using the Rpi A+ and am trying to find the smallest QVGA (320x320 or 320x240) display that will work with the Rpi A+. I've found some 2.2" screens that are supposed to work but for my particular project, it's too large. The problem for me is, it must be QVGA. I know sm...
