Re: Pi getting data from XinoRF using ttyAMA0

Thanks for the effort guys, I have solved the problem. In arduino I did not enable radio, so it is not sending anything back to my pi. All I need to do is set D8 on OUTPUT HIGH.

Re: Pi getting data from XinoRF using ttyAMA0

The code you posted for the Pi receive does not work. Do you not get any errors when you run that code? no errors at all How do you invoke the code? paul /ram $ cat Gerard0315-1.py import serial import time ser = serial.Serial('/dev/ttyAMA0', 115200, timeout=1) ser.open() ser.write("testing") try: ...

There's an option in sudo raspi-config (8 - advanced options then A8) to do that. yes i have disabled the serial console as i replied to klrick, I have tried your method and still get nothing. I've edited the original question as I forgot ...

Re: Pi getting data from XinoRF using ttyAMA0

What do you have connected to the TX & RX GPIO pins? Whatever is connected must be 3V3 and not 5V especially the RX pin. You must connect ground pin as well. Have you disabled console mode by using advanced menu in sudo raspi-config? According to the Slice of Radio official document, the modules us...

Pi getting data from XinoRF using ttyAMA0

I'm trying to get the data from a DHT11 sensor connected to the XinoRF board. But it seems I get nothing from the wireless port ttyAMA0 in python. However when I use the USB port ttyACM0, the python program seems fine. In Arduino IDE I am able to get data correctly in th serial monitor, so I guess t...
