Re: jupyter notebook (was ipython notbook)

Hi Starly, Unfortunately I have never used Enthought so don't have much to say on it. But I have a few tips on installing packages which might help you out and how I use Jupyter Notebook as part of my headless setup. Installing Librarys: I tend to follow the instructions form the library's reliant w...

Re: jupyter notebook (was ipython notbook)

Well that's annoying... a few mins after I post this I find an answer I have added this to my /etc/rc.local file above exit 0: (nohup /usr/local/bin/jupyter-notebook > /var/log/jupyter1-boot.log 2>&1) & my error was missing out the - between jupyter and notebook. Solution found here: https://github....

jupyter notebook (was ipython notbook)

Hi all, I have been at this a while now and Google has failed me... My goal is to have a Jupiter notebook server running on the pi which I can just ssh into. Now I have installed Jupiter and it will run manually however, I wish to use rc.local or crontab to run it at boot so I can schedule a reboot ...

Re: How to SSH to raspberry pi without having a router as a

Well this might not be the answer people were looking for.... but it might be helpful to some. I have managed very easily to stream video to my laptop via my phones personal hotspot which works very well. I have done this on a LAN level as my laptop is also in range of my phone's hotspot. My Sony Z2...

Re: How to SSH to raspberry pi without having a router as a

Terry,

That sounds like a good idea, I find it hard to believe that the raspberry pi cannot directly connect to another computer via WiFi... but at least this will do the job. Might try the second raspberry pi before I go an buy this. Let me know how your project goes when the rain stops.

Re: How to SSH to raspberry pi without having a router as a

Hi gnnu,

I am using this: http://thepihut.com/products/portable-p ... spberry-pi

It powers two Raspberrys for a while so will see if it works... I need to send a video feed via netcat and mplayer so I assume that wifi is the way to go...

Cheers

Re: How to SSH to raspberry pi without having a router as a

Hello all, I am looking at doing something similar, Wired is not an option for me as my project is outside and a router will be a pain, so I am in the same boat. My Mac Book has the option to make a computer to computer network (ad-hoc) however the pi will not connect using standard WiFi settings. T...
