How to disable "no gamepads detected" EmulationStation

I prefer plugging in my controller after it’s booted up. There’s no need to configure it after plugging it in again. It’s the same controller I’ve been using so I doubt it needs to configured everytime. Can someone help me please? How can I disable the “no gamepads detected” code in retro pie/Emulat...

I double checked everything on virtualization on the RP wiki and tried everything. Seems like the b+ is not powerful enough to support two retropie one pi. I took the easy way out and bought another pi.

Is it a dumb idea and why?
I was thinking it might prevent overheating and reduce sd card corruption.

Hi I'm just a guy with two kids and one RP. Just trying to figure out how to set-up one RP for two retropie set-up sorta like virtualization. (1 cpu for 2 computers) that way the kids won't fight over who gets to play next!

Help please.
