Re: RISCOS with pi 2

Hi guys, I run RISC OS Pi (I think it's version 5.21) on a Pi model B+. However, this SD card isn't recognised by my new RPi 2 model B (it only boots as far as the rainbow screen). Is there a way to upgrade the RISC OS installation on the SD card so that I can use RISC OS on my RPi 2? Importantly, I...

RPi 2 upgrade problems

Hi guys. Bear with me for the background. My original RPi is a model B+. I use two operating systems, Raspbian and RISC OS Pi. I have them installed on separate SD cards, but it's a pain to swap around between them. For Christmas I bought a new RPi 2 model B. My plan was to keep it for Raspbian and ...

Re: OpenXCom for Pi

Hi Richard. Many thanks indeed for taking the time to post that helpful reply. Now I know what "sudo" is for! Re: Can't find programs

Many thanks indeed Richard. I am still at the steepest part of the learning curve, where the gradient seems almost vertical. However, with your help and a little judicious Googling, I was able to create a desktop shortcut to execute the bash script to run Little Crane (and indeed OpenTTD as well). T...

OpenXCom for Pi

I am trying to get OpenXCom to work with my B+. This link seemed to provide the means: http://openxcom.org/forum/index.php?topic=2785.0 I downloaded the files, and (I think) successfully upgraded the libraries according to the website (and as a veteran Xcom player I have all the required files from ...

Can't find programs

Hi guys, I bought my RPi model B+ primarily as a means to teach my kids about computing. As a result I am trying to make it easy for them to run programs from the Raspbian desktop. I have downloaded The Little Crane That Could from the Pi Store. However, it doesn't appear anywhere. Not in a menu. No...
