Re: Gmenu2x, Neo Geo emulation & Frontier

I was able to build glfrontier however I cannot start it because it gives me the following error. video mode set failed : couldn't find matching GLX visual This is a little odd because I did manage to build it previously and run it (though yes performance was not great) I am just wondering if anyone...

I can also confirm about a 100% performance increase with the Raspberry Pi working in Turbo OC mode.

Which is very very nice.

Re: Gmenu2x, Neo Geo emulation & Frontier

Any news on this? Sorry to bump, but i was a huge fan of Frontier, spent many of my teenage years playing it on my Amiga 600 and then later my Second PC (my first one didnt have a floating point co-processor and wouldn't run it, it was a 286PC upgraded with a 386 chip though) I have managed to compi...

Re: LuxRender and LuxRays on the Raspberry Pi

Some speed testing on a scene and some proof that lux works on the Pi, http://3drenderblog.wordpress.com/2012/07/04/raspberry-pi-soft-emu-vs-hard-float/ Its not an enormously fast scene due to it being interior, but the Raspberry Pi is capable of rendering it out correctly and exactly like that of a...

LuxRender and LuxRays on the Raspberry Pi

Hi all I wrote a guide on how to compile LuxRays and LuxRender on the Raspberry pi here http://3drenderblog.wordpress.com/2012/03/12/luxrender-on-the-raspberry-pi/ While it is dated back in march, i updated it to reflect the fact iv now done it on real hardware. LuxRender is a physically based rende...

Compiler Flags

Hi all I just got the Raspbian image put onto a previously unusable SanDisk SD card and have completed all the install recommendations as listed on http://www.raspbian.org/HexxehImages I have already compiled a few applications that i think would benefit from hard float and was wondering what compil...

Re: No kbd or mouse in GUI

I am currently experiencing a similar issue, Iv used the latest image, and updated the kernel to allow my SanDisk SD card to work. I bought a USB power supply rated to 2.5A which is plenty good for the PI plus a keyboard and mouse. Everything works fine until I startx, after which i can't get any mo...

Re: Anyone in the US get a ship date from Newark (Element/14

Just got my two today :D Cant test however due to the following 1) SD cards i got (long long ago) are on the list that dont work (booooooooo, but oh well they can go in my camera :D ) 2) Looks like my keyboard/mouse wants too much power, Ill likely use a powered hub :D I can say that one of them at ...

Re: the teething troubles... (not the launch)

Sorry for the long post but i think much of this is just operating the device, and understanding the limitations, but not accepting them. I dont have mine yet, though am confirmed in the next batch and am waiting on one from RS and one from Newark. I always see things subjectively and it has been po...

I am not sure what the limitations would be for getting UAE to work on the RPi, I know it is avaliable on the mac, and iv compiled that from source. But that doesnt mean very much as we all know. Id be quite interested in getting an Amiga Emu up and working, since i purchased the kickstarts and bits...

Re: USB bus seems to be shutting down after 30seconds

You can probably ping something on the outside world, and keep watching it and wait and see if it drops?? (or alternatively pinging the RPi from another computer if you can)

This likely means plugging in the keyboard for a few moments though.
