Re: Speakers and Microphone
Well, that's embarrassing. Even though I've set the sound (sset "PCM" 100%) to something, well, alsamixer shows me this: Card: bcm2835 ALSA Chip: Broadcom Mixer View: F3: [Playback] f4:Capture F5: All Item: PCM [dB gain: mute]. ... yes, the mute part is rather embarassing. Any help is grea...

Speakers and Microphone
Good evening, all, I have a B+ fully updated running the latest everything and I connected a Logitech boombox (externally powered, but also has battery) using the earphone connector to the B+ and the sound was very low. So low, in fact, I couldn't here anything. I've managed to increase the volume u...

Re: VNC instructions (Pi remote desktop)
Then use windows remote desktop to connect to it... Is that available for the Mac? It works. I can connect to the VNC from my Yosemite Mac. Well, to be precise, a Windows 7 VM running in Parallels will connect. When I try to start the vncserver it tells me its already running on #1, but I can conne...

Programmatically moving pictures to a windows computer?
Greetings, What are my options in terms of programmatically taking a picture with the camera module (B+ model) and transferring that picture to a windows 7 or 8.1 computer? Thanks! ps: I have samba running and it works, I can browse from windows, but i had to make it public since I didn't know how t...

Re: 96 Raspberry PI B+ with Wifi and Camera
Don't get each Pi to send to the next one to take a picture - that will cause a delay. (unless you want a delay - bullet time rig would be an example) Use a central Pi (or the first one) that sends a signal to ALL Pi's at the same time. This would be better for bullet time as well as the timing is ...

Re: VNC instructions (Pi remote desktop)
Hi David!
My B+ is updated to the latest (apt-get update and apt-get upgrade).
It works. I can connect to the VNC from my Yosemite Mac.
But.... BUT..... if the pi reboots the VNC server doesn't start automatically...
How do I get it to start automatically?
thanks,

Re: 96 Raspberry PI B+ with Wifi and Camera
Are you planning to network the camera's or will they be stand alone? Hi and thanks for commenting :) This weekend my goal is to make the B+ take a picture programmatically. Bonus points if I get it to send off to Windows for storage. If that succeeds, then I'm buying another B+/Camera/wifi and try...

Re: 96 Raspberry PI B+ with Wifi and Camera
It's a secret. I'd have to...
Seriously, because I'll have 12 poles with 8 cameras on each.

96 Raspberry PI B+ with Wifi and Camera
That's a whole lot of gear.
My question is: How much power does that consume?

Re: Is Aposematic Jacket real?
This link: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/ivpo ... 40614#home
Shows that its possible to hook up 16 cameras to a raspberry pi.
If I read this right, its sort of like a KVM switch.
I doubt though that the jacket is real... is it 4 cheapo usb cameras?

Is Aposematic Jacket real?
So there's this video floating around on the web http://ssbkyh.com/works/aposematic_jacket/ About a jacket that's riddle with Cameras using one (i.e., qty 001) Raspberry PI B+. Which is nonsensical.... right? How does he do it? My interest in this is that to do a proper 3d scanner you need about 100...

Shopping List for Camera system?
Hi! So I was just about to buy the Raspberry Pi B and a 5meg Camera and a wifi and a power adapter and a memory card and.... So before I buy the wrong part, I thought I would ask my peers their advice. I plan on making a system that can take pictures at the same time. So I'll need to have a 'master'...
