Got it working! Basically the instructions are out of date as Retropi doesnt allow you to load a full driver in /etc/modules Instead do the following: 1. sudo nano /etc/modules 2. add "db9_gpio_rpi" then save the file 3. sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/db9.conf 4. add "options db9_gpio_rpi map=x,x" where ...

Wow, thank you so much "tee" works perfectly, I used the following: raspivid -t 10000 -o -| tee out.h264 | nc 192.168.0.10 5001 This outputs a out.h264 while still sending the stream over the network!! Thanks again, it does exactly what I need, and I think I might know how to get mjpeg sorted now as...

No I ate all the spam.

To be fair I actually check my spam box regularly as it normally contains all my forum updates,so I can say with 100% accuracy its not in there.
